Shrugged off the Patriots making the SB that year, did the same after they lost to GB said something like I thought we had em oh well. Agree. That is his coaching persona. Ripped up sweatshirts, gruff demeanor, rough around the edges, etc.

....but on the flip side we've seen Bill dressed to the 9s before. Tie. Sport jacket, polished presenter, etc.

Hes trying to sell books. His trying to appeal to college kids that are considering his program and the university. This isn't some production meeting with Tony Romo. This is CBS pushing your book. There is nothing wrong with putting on a button-down shirt for this type of setting.

Don't get me wrong that scandal was a huge reason we lost the game. I don't think it made him stop trying though.

I agree. I think Tuna did want to win. We can speculate if they were schematically prepared (27 first half points allowed....no offensive points in the 2nd 1/2 allowed).

The problem is they were distracted by what was swirling around them during that week.

I've been as big of a BB supporter as there is on this board...
BUT my respect and admiration for him has eroded significantly since 2019.
Now I don't recognize him anymore.
I'll always be grateful for the absolute greatness from 2000-2018. He is still the GOAT and nothing can change that.
There's a lot we don't know that goes on but I can say I don't like the current version of BB. Very sad.
