Widowers do react differently. My father in-law went on a few dates almost a year after my mo in-law died but hes pretty much kept to himself and its been almost 20 years since she passed. He loved and respected her no question. Some men need that constant companionship. Some know they'll never find what they had so they give up.

On the other side, both my grandfathers cheated on my grandmothers. My dads dad had a live-in GF 3 months after my grandmom died. We suspect she was the side piece.
