Thanks!Great mock! I would be delighted with this draft.
I personally feel that Darqueze Dennard may be underrated.Of course I would be delighted if BB didn't keep wasting second round picks overdrafting unknown or very low rated DBs.
Defensive tackle is still the number one priority. Another defensive tackle to watch this season is Anthony Johnson from LSU.My guess is that Hageman winds up a top ten pick. But if is he there at #32, I say we hire Bolt to sprint the card up to the podium in record time.
So if Hageman is off the board, how does that affect what you do in the first?
I see what you did there.Isn't Ego a bit too "I am" for a Belichick pick?
Ego Jr. said people ask him about his name “all the time” but his name — in the sense of egotistical — isn’t a reflection of him.
“That ain’t my style,” he said.
Way way too early mock draft.
3rd round - Dion Bailey, SS, USC
I know what you're thinking. "Another safety this high? And one not from rutgers?" Not likely, but this guy is a playmaker. He played as a linebacker but is too small for that so he changed to safety this year, a hybrid OLB/S used to play in the box and with amazing ball hawking skills, you will hear a lot about him.
Ironically, I think he kind of blends the two," Bielema told NFL.com on the SEC's weekly teleconference. "Peter Konz went second round to the Falcons, and Travis Frederick first round to the Cowboys. He probably grabs the strengths of both those players and combines them into one. Travis (Swanson) is the most talented player that I've been around at that position. He's going to skyrocket, I think, in the NFL draft. I think (he was rated) somewhere in the fifth, sixth, seventh round, in preseason, before the season got rolling. He's going to skyrocket. He's long with his arms, plays extremely physical, had 16 knockdowns on Saturday, makes every call up front, run-wise and pass protection. (He's) one of our best leaders off the field. He's embodied everything we could ever ask in a teammate here at Arkansas. The good news is, the NFL is going to get a product that will play for a long, long time."
Trading back, first rounder gone for like a 2nd and a 4th
2. De'Anthony Thomas - RB - Oregon (46)
Play maker! Return game, running game, passing game - perfect weapon for the Patriots.
2. Daniel McCullers - DT - Tennessee (68)
Giant prototypical NT, have McCullers to spell for Wilfork and Armstead for Kelly.
3. C.J. Fiedorowicz - TE - Iowa (80)
Less mobile Gronk? Yes please, can see him sneaking up towards round 1 by the time of the draft, though.
4. Trey Millard - FB - Oklahoma (107)
Runs, blocks and catches passes - another weapon for Brady.
4. Chris Burnette - OG - Georgia
Some more depth at guard, big guy too at 315lbs.
5. Bryan Stork - C - Flordia St (136)
Not the biggest C in the world, but not sold on Wendell this season at all.
6. Jared Abbrederis - WR - Wisconsin (180)
Liked the look of him a couple of years ago, yes it's another young receiver in the team but this late in the draft why not.
6 comp. Isaiah Lewis - SS - Michigan St (197)
This late in the draft you're looking at depth/camp fodder whilst looking for potential lightning in a bottle.
6 comp. Cairo Santos - K - Tulane (233)
Gostkowski is having a good year so far but why not use a comp pick on bringing in a camp leg who can make bring some competition.
7. Logan Thomas - QB - V Tech (280)
I've heard of him before, that's pretty much the only reason for picking him here, camp arm who can actually throw the ball though!
Numbers at the end from CBS draft rankings.
Really like your McCullers and Fiedorowicz picks (see mine 4 posts up) and that Thomas pick is really intriguing. Who's roster spot do you see him taking? I wouldn't want him taking snaps from Vereen but he could arguably replace both Washington's and Edelman's snaps on his own. He'll certainly score points if used correctly. Also like the Millard pick but don't know enough about the rest to comment. Nice mock.
Thomas - Washington and Blount will probably be gone so having 2 Swiss army knife RBs in the team in Thomas & Vereen adds versatility to the team and he adds the home run threat on both offense and Special teams. With his ability to line up at WR too there's a ton of things McDaniels can do, just think of an up tempo no huddle with Vereen, Thomas, Gronk, Fiedorowicz and then a pick of any 1 of the WRs for the other spot.
Millard would also be a more than ideal replacement for both Blount and Develin.

Love the Hageman pick. Anthony Johnson however probably needs to come off your draft board. A pure one gapper, who got destroyed by the Georgia center last night. It was uglier than a Roger Goddell family reunion.
Personally, I think its premature to write off Johnson as a 1-gap player only. Playing with gap discipline is part mental (technique, instincts) and part physical (having the strength to stay home, length to keep blockers off, etc.). He has the physical tools and wouldn't be the first guy to acquire the mental ones.
That said, I don't really care for him. I've soured on this class of defensive tackles in general. Hard to get excited about Tuitt, Johnson, McCullers, and Jernigan. Sutton blows, and Coleman and Nix haven't shown any pass rushing potential. Anyone have sleepers I should be watching for?
