I'll say this...one thing about this ref firestorm...it's kept Fatty McToesnatcher out of the media spotlight...he must be sniffin' amok, up and down the Jersey Wal-mart ladies shoewear aisles....it HAS to be killing him...

But. but bringing them close enough for a field goal doesnt count for the QB, thats what thyey've said about Brady, Brady isnt clutch because in crunch time he doesnt get TD's, they just get FG's.

Please don't attempt to understand the logic of Jet fans.

Rex admits clock-management faux pas - Jets Blog - ESPN New York
Rex Ryan admitted Wednesday that he failed to use his timeouts properly at the end of the first half in the Jets' overtime win over the Dolphins.

The Dolphins got the ball at their own 7 with 1:44 on the clock. Ryan had all three timeouts as his disposal, but he let the Dolphins burn precious time off the clock by not using his first timeout until it was fourth-and-12 with 47 seconds left.

"As it turned out, hindsight being 20/20, I probably should've used them and forced them to punt," Ryan said. "I probably could've done a better job with that."

So much for the best Jets' defense in Jets' history as promised by Ryan and the Jets fans this season:

The Jets defense has looked nothing like its dominant former self this year, and that was before it lost cornerback Darrelle Revis, the best player on the team.

The biggest problems have come in two areas. The Jets have failed to stop the run — they rank 28th in the league, giving up 148.7 yards per game — and can’t stop opponents on third down — allowing 55.8 percent of third downs to be converted, worst in the NFL.

The woes against the run have also hurt the Jets’ pass rush. They have just three sacks, 29th in the NFL, this year. Part of that is because of opponents being in favorable down-and-distances on second and third down because of success running on first down.

Rex Ryan, New York Jets coach, calls on defense to play better on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers - NYPOST.com

Rex said vernon was best TE in the league? Gronk? Graham?

Rex has a soft spot for guys named Vernon and tends to overrate them. Remember Rex when he came to the Jets said that Vernon Gholston reminded him of Terrell Suggs.

With Revis done it's not a question of whether the Green Beans can challenge for a playoff spot, it's a question of whether they can reach .500. They are cooked. You can put season No. 44 of their title drought in the books.

Only 44 years?

Will be very surprised if they win anymore games.

But the jets have kyle wilson....and....and...they are 2-1...

I thought it was a question on whether they would get to .500 when they had Revis. Now the question is when will they win another game?

Revis had nothing to do with the fact they can't run the ball, catch the ball, pass the ball, or stop the run.

Yes. But I was thinking that WITH Revis, they conceivably still could have won six of their remaining 13 games and the defense would've gotten better. He's the key to their defense which is the key to their chances of winning anything. When you think about it, it's amazing what a true difference maker he is.
