Really? You like him? I think he’s a stud pick! Just. Watch. Him. Play.
I did and I think he's got a lot of potential to develop. Nothing is a sure thing in the draft.

Agholor - terrible waste of 26m dollars.
Bourne - has had ONE good season and THREE pretty poor ones for production.
Smith - complete waste of money and later released. we could have just resigned Jakobi Meyers instead for that money.

It's not just bad coaching it was terrible roster decisions by the GM at the time.
Until the decision-making improves any amount of resources can be wasted.
BB's big free agent spree in 2021 yielded Judon as the biggest get and wasted all the rest of that huge money available to improve the team.
Note that Smith has had years of 50 and 88 catches since leaving. So I think the failure in his case was on us.

For many, this is a fact-free zone.

That’s fine and all, but we also need a guy who can see what the opponents are doing during the game and make a move to counter that. He’s a first time DC so we have no history to fall back on there, but I have to imagine he’ll be better than Covington/Mayo at that.
I think it is a team effort. A lot of the media I listened to suggested that Vrabel is very good at in-game adjustments. I'd suggest that it will be Vrabel mostly driving such adjustments on the defensive side, with Williams being in more of a nuts and bolts kind of role instead of major strategy kind of role.

Caveat. If that precious capital is spent wisely. If you draft the N'Keal Harrys and Cole Stranges of the world then sign the Juju schuster-smiths even those great picks and big wads of cash will turn into turds instead of improvement.

JJSS looked pretty good with Mahomes throwing him the ball last night, two receptions for 60 yards.

Funny how the same receiver looks a lot better with a high-end QB and a competent OL.

I was definitely less happy about the Agholor signing, that one never made sense.

Agholor was paid WR1 money, and he wasn't ever going to be that this late in his career.

JJSS was paid WR2 money, and he could have been that with a good QB and a good OL.

...and competent coaching.

Andy Reid has forgotten more about offensive coaching, play design, and playcalling that Patricia knows.

I think the idea that they need a roster overhaul is wrong, what they need is to add a number of high quality starters that improve units overall, and push current starters to depth.

2 OT

1DT

1DE

2WR’s

1LB

1CB

That’s a lot to ask for one offseason, but they can get it done between free agency 4-5, and the Draft 3.

They can not screw up the 2nd round draft picks like they did last year with Polk. They need to nail them and if they can’t Wolf dhould be gone

plus a free safety

Looked ok with a 100% healthy knee

I like the McDaniels signing but I think he blew it with Smith. Not sure why the Pats could not make it work. That is one of the troubling player cases for me with McDaniels.

plus a free safety

I think Duggars at Free safety and Peppers at Strong safety is a good safety pairing, but it’s also one of the easier spots to fill in free agency. There were good ones on the market in the summer last year.

If Vrabel doesn’t take a good second round pick wolf should be gone?

???
I free safeties are easy to fill in free agency, then there in no excuse for not getingone.

Duggar is not a FS. His coverage skills are awful. He’s just not fluid enough.

Nonsense.

Judon was a hit, Hunter Henry has been good, Jonnu Smith is a good player, guy has averaged 75 receptions per season since leaving, clearly he didn't have the QB to excel here.

That was a good FA haul.

Agholor was a bad signing but just what do you think the going rate is for 50 receptions per? It's about $12m. Look around the league.

Duggar should be in jail for molesting kids.

As for Dugger, he was good in coverage in 2022. Last year, Covington had him completely out of position, never mind that the Patriots have a lawsuit coming because the doctors/trainers misdiagnosed him and he played all year with torn ligaments.
