Manxman might have it.
1. Tebow - I'd prefer not, but I think he looked like they wanted him to last night. Maybe he gets cut and resigned in a couple weeks, as things fall into place more.
IMO there's no way he makes, though the resigning thing is feasible depending on injury. I think the Media is overthinking this decision.
2. TE - Fells health and salary knock him off the roster. He looked beat-up last night. I'd rather have him than Hooman, but I don't think BB would. If Gronk gets PUP'd, I'd still expect to see them replace him elsewhere on the roster (OL/DT).
Ballard looks washed up/hurt to me and I don't see him getting any better
3. Five backs here, only because Bolden and Washington are starting on STs. George Winn gets signed by somebody else. I'm a fan of Winn. He really impressed me last night. I like Bolden but he hasn't shown much since his suspension
4. I'm with Manxman on the 7 OL. However, somebody who is on the roster Saturday will get cut to bring in some other team's OL castoff (plus 2 guys make the PS) - perhaps in a move to in-season IR. I Agree
8. Dowling was more expensive to cut than keep, but Tavon is much more expensive to cut, plus he plays ST, and they pay Slater a lot more to do only that. They both stay. Tavon will be cut next offseason.
9. Ebner stays. He was second in ST tackles last year. Nobody else has shown that capability - although Tarp is close. Maybe he is our in-season IR candidate.
10. Mesko's consistency wins him a job. BB might be shopping for a 7th rounder in exchange for Allen today. He's gotta be better than a half dozen NFL punters. There's no reason to change Punters, too big of a risk with not that much reward. Allen should go to PS
This leaves us a hole at DT (assuming we sign OL help). Going into game day with 3 DTs max is thin, given how DLmen get rotated in today's NFL. If somebody worthwhile becomes available, Washington is the first to go. (Given the salary guarantee he gets if he makes the 53, he's the pick I'm least confident in.)
