brady6 do you think I am a trouble maker or troll?

I asked you for YOUR opinion on Edelmen's role. That is what you copied and pasted from someone else.

You are clearly not a Patriots fan and you are a ******* troll. Get lost.

You are a troll get lost

I am a pats fan and a tebow fan. I don't need to prove that to you.

Gets to a rather simple question. After starting the season at 1-4, given all the things in the list, do you (or does anyone else) honestly think that the Denver Broncos would have gone 7-4 over the remainder of the season had Kyle Orton remained under center ?

I'm don't know if they would of went 7-4. To be honest probably not. Like I said Tebow contributed to the success, as did the other factors in my eyes. I'm not taking away from Tebow I'm just not going to say he was the sole reason. I'd say they'd of went 5-6 if they remained with Orton.

Do I need to figure out where you copied and pasted that from?

Honestly I'm not arguing I just can't understand why Tebow being on the roster isn't good enough. Why is it that people feel the need to promote him as a starting QB when it's not going to happen as long as Brady is healthy and in the NFL?

If I was a Jets fan with Sanchez as my QB I'd be fine with that desire, losing team, underperforming QB. This team has Tom Brady and he is likely the best QB of all time, you don't mess with that. You ride that thoroughbred as long as possible.

Who's promoting him to starting QB? There may have have been one or two new sign-ups that have done that but I haven't seen a single regular make such a proposition. So why make such a straw man argument? I'm happy that Tebow is our third string QB. If he becomes more than that (ie becoming Brady's backup or long-term replacement), then that means he's most likely improved as a QB thus rendering isolated criticisms as meaningless.

manxman have I done anything to deserve to be called a troll?

I will and frankly with Tebow Pom Poms like yourself, I cannot wait for him to be cut if all he is doing is competing for a roster slot behind Brady and Mallett.

I feel the hate growing inside of you....

"some of you". Woah there. Who are these "some of you" people?

And yes, football is a team game. I agree. So why dismiss the QB as an integral part of the team?

Was Trent Dilfer an "integral" part of his team winning a Super Bowl?

a. No and personal insults should have no place here.

but.

B. I don't think you should have plagiarised. Not only is it ethically wrong, but it also weakens your argument. Using an article to inform your opinion is fine or quoting it (with creditation) as an example of what you believe is fine but you shouldn't have passed it off as your own.

just my view.

Once again demonstrating the sheer ignorance and folly of thinking that Comp % is a highly relevant stat.

Matt Ryan's Comp % is 5.6pts higher than Brady's, does that mean Ryan is a better QB ?

Blaine Gabbert's is 4.2 pts higher than Andrew Luck's. Guess that means Gabbert is a better QB as well.

Completion % isn't everything but I would like my QB to complete more passes than he misses, and I suspect so would any NFL coach. Much better chance of continuing drives and scoring instead of punting. But that's just me.

I understand next time I'll quote and link the article I am referring to.

No I would describe you as either of those things. I'm not in love with the fact that you care more about Tebow than the team itself. In our interactions you've been respectful and fair.

I think you and Belichick010405 may of both made your debate more than it has to. I see his point because he feels the intruded upon by people who may or may not be actual fans of the Patriots, and I see your point because you feel Tebow being a Patriots should entitle him to the support of the Patriots fans along with those fans supporting his personal fan base. I don't think this is something you'll agree on so I would just part ways and save the energy for a future topic.

Was he part of the roster? Ask any NFL coach how important every man on the roster is and you'll have your answer.

I agree thanks. Did you get my friends request?

So then you agree that Trent Dilfer was integral to the 2000 Ravens winning the Super Bowl, a contribution just as important as having one of the best defenses this league has ever seen.

I'm not sure you'd find a lot of company that shares that opinion.

Dude, where in the world are you reading anyone suggesting that Tebow start over Brady ?

I'll argue all day that Tebow is good enough to start in a football league where the likes of Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder and Jake Locker are also starters. I'll continue to argue that Tebow most definitely is an NFL QB and that he's actually better than most of his detractors will ever admit.

BUT, that's not saying that he should start over Tom Freaking Brady.

I do believe one of the big problems here is that you personally, and others like you, see any positive defense of Tebow as a defacto demand that he be the starter.

That's fair. I apologize if I projected a previous debate with AC on to you.

I would add that personally I don't think Brady replacement has even started his sophomore year in college yet. The window would already be closing for Tebow or Mallett in 2017.
