Tannehill: Season Ending ACL Surgery

It's an ACL injury. Historically speaking, he's not likely to be 100% until the 2019 season. We saw it with Brady. And Tannehill relies more on his running/moving than does Brady.

That's what I don't really get. Soccer players come from that same surgery in 8 months. I know NFL players are heavier and sustain more muscle mass and that impacts the knee a lot more than skinny guys. Anyway after a full year from the surgery the knee is 100% healed. It must be more of a trust thing than medical.

I'm not conversant enough with the soccer side of things to comment/link about it. But, as for football:

An ACL injury is no longer a career killer, but can athletes ever truly be the same?

The good news is that a better form of help may be on the way:

New ACL Procedure A Game Changer For NFL?

That Sucks, I know some of you disagree but I'd rather have games be competitive and I really think that Jay Cutler is going to be very bad.
There are 256 Regular Season NFL games every year. It's great if 240 of those games are "competitive," but I am just fine if the 16 games that involve the Patriots are more or less "over" in favor of the Pats by halftime.

can't really argue with that, but I'd rather Ryan Tannehill just played awful against NE rather than Jay Cutler being a starting QB.
