I've been following Lawrence, Fields & the other big names since they were in high school. I wouldn't sleep on Fields one bit fwiw.

Anyway Lawrence is such a unicorn. Reminds me if Randy Johnson ever played football. I can't wait to see what he looks like at 25.

For a bigger kid vg mechanics. I don't get that bulky, hitchy vibe from watching him. Been vg under pressure, esp for a young kid. Arm talent is ccrazy. Mahomes, Allen type whip. Seems like good kid.

Tua is absolutely right there though. Any criticism at this point is borderline nitpicking. Talk about tremendous mechanics. He's so fluid. Almost flawless transfer of power.

2020-2021 have a bunch really talented guys coming out. Jordan Love is another guy to watch.

You've said this before & it's really not true at all. He's got serious lower half power. If you watch him pass he generates everything from his core/lower half

I know it's already been pointed out but honestly this is awful. Steve Young is the greatest QB SF ever had, you can't forget him.

I wasn’t doubting his ability to generate power from his lower half. And that that’s what a QB is supposed to do.

NE won't tank and never will under Robert and Jonathan. Throw that out of the window.

I definitely see a trade up in 2020 or 2021 though.

Not sure which year. It probably depends on the cost.

One thing to keep in mind, is that NE should still be really good next season which lowers our draft position for 2020 and it would take a TON to trade up in the regions where the top QBs will go.

In 2020 we might very well be average or worse. Tom might be retired by then and we could truly have a down year, not just by our standards.

Which would make trading up in the 2021 draft easier and less costly. Unless we LOVE a QB in the mid 1st round in 2020 I could see us drafting a QB in the 3rd or 4th round this year, loading up on talent in the 2020 draft, collecting assets and look for a trade up in 2021.

Btw I agree about Justin Fields. He has been the backup QB for Georgia this year and has not played much. However it wouldn't be surprising if he will be a hot name in 2o21 as well.

I hear ya, his legs are plenty thick though. Very well proportioned.

And if you look at some guys, even Rivers, Stafford for example they'll become "arm" passers or in Rivers case, a tosser.

Point is Tua's mechanics are natural & special at times.

Ken Stabler and Steve Young say hello. Did I miss your sarcasm? Our punter is lefty, and he's worked out ok.

I think BB would be 69 or 70 by the time of completing his 'tanking' season, probably close to ending his career, if he took your recommended strategy. Christ, would that be sad to see. I'm not sure he has a 15 year outlook.

This is why I'm so adamant about a possible trade out for another 2020 1st.

We have plenty of ammo to get back into the 1st or close to it if we want. And we have enough to get 2-4 impact players.

It's all about the QB & 2020/2021 looks as good as last year.

Say that to Steve Young’s face and ya might get a surprise. Or, Kenny Stabler, Boomer....hell, say it to Michael Vick and he might do some mean things to your dog. But, I speak for all left handers everywhere in promising that dog fighting is not a left handed problem. Okay? You gotta be a lil crazy to be left handed in a right handed world but what he did was cold. We shunned that prick from our crew a long time ago.

I thinks fields has a real shot to be the best of the bunch. I wish he went some place where he would have played this year, now he may transfer and we may not see him until 2020.

Interested to see what Jacob Eason does at U dub next year

Kenny Stabler was a HOF, and Mark Brunell was very good for a long time. There are simply fewer lefty quarterbacks, but the ones that make it aren't any worse.

Fields might get a waiver because of racial slurs by a UGA baseball player though. I think there is a decent chance we see him actually replacing Haskins at OSU next season.

We're definitely not tanking and I don't know how they could plan to trade up for the likely #1 overall in the 2020 draft. I like Tua a lot though.

I'm wondering what people think of the Duke QB Daniel Jones. I haven't seen him play, but I'm interested from what I've read about him. He's a guy we might be able to get without trading up much or at all.

Boomer won an NFL MVP and very likely wins a Super Bowl if their all-pro fullback Stanley Wilson doesn't do coke in his hotel room the day before the Super Bowl. Wilson had plowed the way for TWO one-thousand yard rushers that season (James Brooks and Icky Woods). That was the game where SF's John Taylor caught the winning TD with 30-some seconds left in the game.

The Pats could also trade their 2019 1st-rounder for a 2020 1st-rounder (plus maybe a 2018 3rd or 4th). If the Pats get lucky, that team could tank, giving the Pats a top-10 pick in 2020, in addition to their own. The combination of those two, maybe plus a little something, might be enough to trade up into the rarefied, "Top QB" stratum in 2020.

Tough dude. Played hurt almost all year w a broken collar bone. He's been banged up a ton running that offense. Put his body on the line a ton.

Manning like feet/base. Probably best in the draft. Usually always set properly. Very accurate. Improved his deep accuracy this year.which is huge for him.

    Been coached up by Cutcliffe.

Arm is good enough. Definitely could get stronger. Very smart guy but just never has dealt w pressure well. No feel. Gets blown up too often.

Didn't get much help in terms of talent around him which shouldn't be overstated.

I like him a lot but unless you're 100% sold as a franchise guy I'm passing.

This is what I've been saying as well.

We have multiple 2's & 3's this year so we could easily move up & down from late first to 3rd.
