Sounds like he'll be going on the second day :

http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFLDraft/Draft+Extras/2008/wwhi040808.htm

"Specifically, Talib admitted at the Combine to testing positive for marijuana three times while at the University of Kansas . . . “There is no way I’d touch (Talib),” one team told PFW. “He’s gotten into a lot of trouble, and he still does not get it.”"

He's been rated very highly by some here. Not among my top 5 CBs however, and that's based on the way he plays the position. But now this character stuff...

One down..........I'm sure this is music to Mike Jenkins ears

Exactly. I noticed some things about his game that I wasn't entirely fond of, and couldn't fully understand why some people were rating him as the top CB (or close to it) in the draft. I thought he was a top 45-50 pick, not a top 15-20 pick.

These reported character issues (if true) should be a concern, and it might knock him out of the first day. But, some team will probably look at his size and potential, then take a chance on him.

Edit:

He tested positive three times, and had other issues off the field? I'll never understand some of these guys.

I wonder if Mike Reiss wants a mulligan on his mock draft pick.

Cool let him slide ... that way we can draft him in the 3rd. Rivers or Gholston in the First Round.

I agree here -- some team will take a chance. Not our problem though.

If this was last year, I'd be thinking Bengals.

Since it is a whole new ballgame, I'm thinking Raiders.
