The only mistress Bill has is football. He was seperated from his wife because all his time went to football. Whatever time was left went to his kids. I met the broker who sold him his condo in Blackrock in Hingham. She said that she checked in on him a month after he was living there and he was living on a mattress on the floor. He just slept there. All his time was spent in the football offices, let alone a married woman in New Jersey.

Sorry but that proves nothing. You have no idea who BB is sleeping with just because he slept on a mattress one night. Personally, I could care less who he's sleeping with but this little tidbit doesn't mean a thing.

This has nothing to do with the media at all. If Belichick is named in a court document by someone, it's the media's duty to report that to the public. My God, you can't blame the media for every little thing that doesn't go the Patriots way. This is legitimate news, whether you like it or not. The fact that training camp is about to start is irrelevant.

This is not legitimate news. Prying into the lives of people is not legitimate news. It is nothing but a couple scumbags getting their rocks off on somebody elses misery. They do it all the time, not just in this instance. They also do their little celebrity sightings list every once and awhile. Who gives a crap where celebs have eaten, walked or went for a swim. Leave the people alone.

And reading your posts on this subject, you really are Ron Borges aren't you.

Are you serious? That article didn't slam or bring down Belichick in any way. He was named in a court document and they reported it, giving quotes by both sides. This was obviously going to get out eventually and I don't have any problem with those reporters being the first to make it public. At no point did they do anything to smear Belichick. That is on ehte guy who brought up the lawsuit, not the reporters themselves. Everything in that story was fact presented in documents. Like I said, I could care less if it's true or not but I don't see where people are having a problem with the reporting. This is public information now and anyone who thinks it wasn't going to get out is living in a fantasy land. Just ask Bill Clinton.

Wow you really are Ron Borges. I was on the flight with most of the sports writers after the Denver platoff loss. Felger,Ted Johnson, ****erson, Shaughnessy and you. Lots of other Pats fans as well with everyone subdued except you. You were looking happy as a clam.

All I can say about this is thank gawd Tunescribe didn't originally post this story because he would have been pummeled to death or maybe even worse

Okay it is news, but putting it on the front page with that headline is a cheap shot, it really is. There is nothing more important going on in the world than this??

Great post. All I said is I don't see where the reporters have it out for Belichick. Sounds to me the guy suining his wife has it out for him. They just reported something that is news. It's not a rumor, it's published in a court document. I'm sorry but if you work for a Boston paper and have this info and don't report it then a paper in NY reports it first, you lose your job. Again, I saw nothing in the piece that said anything negative about Belichick. If having rational thoughts and not crying like a ***** everytime something non-pro Patriots happens makes me Ron Borges, then I guess I'm Ron Borges. If someone can tell me where in that story they are not fair to Belichick instead of just making idiotic comments, I would love to hear it and discuss it with you.

If the Pats sign Ty Law, that would be on the front page too. Is that the most important thing happening in the world? My guess is no. Was cutting Willie McGinest the most important thing going on in the world at that time? Also, I read it in the newspaper and it's not on the front page, so you must be referring to the web site.

Yeah, documents filed by one side in a divorce proceeding are always 100% factual, so therefore it was extremely fair to pay it up like WWIII on the front page, and anybody that thinks these two fine reporters were unfair to rush one side of a story to print -- out of an obligation to the public, of course - is just a big baby.

I've always said. What happens in the Meadowlands stays in the Meadowlands.

Stop it. Would Ty Law's signing directly impact the Patriots TEAM? Yes, therefore it is important to followers of the team. Would Ty Law's children be humiliated to see a blaring headline that their dad signed with the Patriots? No. This is just a cheap tawdry story, I agreed it is news but it makes me sad that this would be considered front page stuff. And yes on the web it is the first story, in bold letters.

I don't buy that its news. Who's to say that its not the delusional rantings of an imbalanced person?

Crowpointer: Where you in reality on a plane flight from Denver as you describe? And was Borges really acting happy? Or are you just joking around?

This article doesn't imply any actual cheating going on, just gift giving.

This article is simply recounting the rantings of a whack job to his lawyer. Anyone who accepts this crap as fact WANTS to, for reasons that I will never be able to fathom.

This seems like an exclamation best used in Nut's "Johnson" thread...

Should the article be on the front page of the web site? Of course not, it's preposterous. This is merely one more reminder that the Herald is no longer a real newspaper. (Note that grizzly details of Christie Brinkley's divorce and Ben Affleck's child-rearing plans are also front-page "news.")

But is the splashy headline the reporter's fault? Nope. The treatment of the article is a high-level editorial decision after the fact. It's just a gossip column for crying out loud, and they're reporting on public court documents -- without any wild speculation as far as I can see.

This is a pretty routine little article of that just hits home with us because it's somebody we care about. You want invasion of privacy? Talk to Christie Brinkley. No comparison.

I really was. Johnson was in first class and came back and talked to Felger (I was on the flight with Felger going out as well) ****erson was by himself. Borges was on the Isle with Shaughnessy on the window. Somebody was between them. I hope it was a globe staffer because they talked right over him and both had mutiple mixed drinks. He did look very happy IMO.
