T.O and Ty Law snubbed by HOF voters

Let me give you an idea.

TO was a great receiver on the field.

TO killed multiple teams in the locker room. He basically single-handedly took away any shot these teams had to win a Super Bowl.

It sounds like most everyone here is evaluating TO almost exclusively on what he did on the field. Personally, I think how he was a team killer is a real important part of the evaluation. Anyone you add to the team who makes it next to impossible to win a title is not a HOF player in my thinking.

Different strokes for different folks. Just something to consider. I doubt many of you are going to change your criteria but at least you've heard the argument.

If QBs like Namath can be evaluated for inspiring on and off the field, why can't TO be evaluated for wrecking morale?

TB does not inspire on and off the field? Lots and lots of QBs have been evaluated by the HOF selection for that - not just Namath

Bartkowski was every bit as good as Bradshaw and stabler but isn't in cause his team sucked most years.

Again, there are probably at least ten HoF QBs such as Unitas with solid numbers that were cited for on and off field inspiration. So forget strawmen like Namath and find a different attack.

Note I'm giving examples of inspiring HoF or outstanding players. Please don't pretend in seconds I can either list every great QB since 1919 or alternately if it's Namath I think he's the only great one.

Bartlowski had good season...some give a similar argument if Archie Manning were on the Dolphins, Cowboys, Steelers, or Raiders, he would definitely be in the HoF.

Back to topic, many players have been inducted to the HoF for positive impact beyond the field, so I think players that bring a team down with their behavior is open game. How TO wrecked at least one season with the Eagles is well known.
