Kudos to Svitek. We didn't hear the name of the RT who played most of the game. That a good thing.

Yeah, I figured he might be a better choice than Cannon. Though Cannon's probably a better option at guard than Connolly.

We did on that play where he was made to look silly by Von Miller. But as he's one of the best and most athletic pass rushers in the game, I think a mulligan is warranted. He did well for a no 4 guy.

I don't think you can really expect much better from a 4th string OT.

Glad someone gave him a mention. With all the NBC whining about the Bronco's injuries during the game, little mention was given to the Patriots playing with their 3rd string RT.

And he did a good job while in there. Cannon is still better but Svitek was good as a replacement.

Von Miller was also making our first round pick at LT look like he was walking around in concrete shoes.

This isn't a knock on Solder- every player has someone he cannot handle, and for Solder it was Von Miller. Speedy undersized players who can quickly get under his pads have always been Solder's nemeses, even in college.

I think most guys who get just about a sack a game on average are the nemsis of all LTs.

Solder handled him pretty damn well last year all game.

Lets give Von his credit. He is an elite pass rusher and player in this league and he had a great game.

I thought that Svitek should've been Vollmer's replacement anyway.

It's obvious that the Pats best OL would be:
Solder - Mankin$ - Connolly - Cannon (if healthy) - Svitek.
Unfortunately, that would leave us with no capable Swing Tackle. Bill should've signed
Reid Fragel from Cinci's PS as soon as Vollmer was IRed.
