We did on that play where he was made to look silly by Von Miller. But as he's one of the best and most athletic pass rushers in the game, I think a mulligan is warranted. He did well for a no 4 guy.
Glad someone gave him a mention. With all the NBC whining about the Bronco's injuries during the game, little mention was given to the Patriots playing with their 3rd string RT.
And he did a good job while in there. Cannon is still better but Svitek was good as a replacement.

Von Miller was also making our first round pick at LT look like he was walking around in concrete shoes.
This isn't a knock on Solder- every player has someone he cannot handle, and for Solder it was Von Miller. Speedy undersized players who can quickly get under his pads have always been Solder's nemeses, even in college.

I thought that Svitek should've been Vollmer's replacement anyway.
It's obvious that the Pats best OL would be:
Solder - Mankin$ - Connolly - Cannon (if healthy) - Svitek.
Unfortunately, that would leave us with no capable Swing Tackle. Bill should've signed
Reid Fragel from Cinci's PS as soon as Vollmer was IRed.
