Gronk really was a lot closer to catching this than I thought at the time.... dang

I was watching the game at a sports bar. I would have jumped up and down for like 10 minutes if he caught that pass.

Hernandez had the first shot at it though he was outjumped by two Giants defenders. But still imagine if he caught it - what it would have meant for him and his life to be a Super Bowl hero. He already scored a TD and a second one here would have won the championship....

Headlines would have then been: "Super Bowl 46 hero accused of double homicide".

Not sure it would have change anything.

In man in the arena Welker said he feels if he was 1 step closer he easily catches the ball on the rebound...thank God the Pats won those 3 starting in 2014....otherwise, we'd still be lamenting 2011 even more than we do now

Gronk was never going to catch that with his ankle sprain. What was more disappointing was Moss not catching that pass at the end of SB 42. Corey Webster got his hands in there at the last second to disrupt the play. Would have been a touchdown.

Just like Moss in Super Bowl 42, they should’ve caught it.

A perfect quote from Succession to sum up the way I feel about the two Eli Manning Super Bowls (might as well throw in Mark Sanchez and Joe Flacco.)

I can win any bout with a boxer ****, but I don’t know how to knock out a clown.

I would have preferred if the Hail Mary was nowhere close to being caught. Would have helped me sleep at night.

Kind of like how a great poker player will never lose to a good poker player, but can lose to an awful poker player.

Was annoying after the game reading all the chirping about spygate from guys like Shannon Sharpe Torrey Smith and even James Harrison and Ryan Clark. That's what we'd have to put up with if we never won another one.

Funny that Clark has completely changed his tune and he's now a Pats fanboy. LOL

Thank God for thread ignore.

Sweet Christ. Thanks

sigh. this and the 2nd to last throw to Moss
