Because they're dumb. If you're gonna smoke weed I've always found the most relaxing environment to do so is in one's own home, parked in front of a big screen TV with a good movie on and plenty of munchies, not driving around in your car in the middle of the night.

I live about 60 miles from where he was stopped. When I move here from RI I was amazed at the number of pickup trucks that had a shotgun in a gun rack in the back window or a pistol in the glove compartment. In that area especially at that time of the morning the Cops/sheriffs are looking for any reason to stop cars to issue citations.

Yes, that would work quite well. One of my faves: On a boat, a cooler full of beer with friends in the middle of a big lake with every star in the sky visible.

Yeah, but I remember a big hub-bub about how they cut him over disciplinary reasons. I seriously doubt that he is cut over this. It's not like he dumped a pot of boiling water on his alleged lover while he sat on the toilet or something. I'm a little surprised that there weren't any weapons charges. It did say he had a handgun in the car. If this were more serious and he was in danger of getting a felony charge against him then I have no doubt he would be out of a job.

No..what Law did was not the norm at all...and neither is what Sully did...but I don't think they will cut him for this. a good and hard talk??
