Either way I don't see where 'deserve' came into the equation.
Obviously I can't speak for mg, but I'm guessing that his wording of the word "deserve" was more related to the cut and possible lack of immediate cohesion aspect than it was to actually deserving the loss on a level of karma.
Otherwise, anyone could use that excuse with any given loss this year as it relates to the Welker situation (which I'm sure we'll see some attempts ).
Either way, I definitely agree with you that no one "deserved" anything other than parting ways with Milloy for whatever reason was chosen by Belichick. Luckily we saw the cohesion of the secondary greatly improve very quickly after the initial loss to BUF in the season opener and everything ended up perfectly.
