Stupidest Reason you have heard, why the Giants will win

I've been hearing this one a lot and it makes me laugh everytime:

"Because the Giants have been hot lately and the Pats haven't been playing well in the past 6 weeks"

Yeah, they barely beat a crappy team like the New York Giants during that time. How do they expect to beat a great team like the New York Giants in the Super Bowl.

Because the Patriots are overrated.

I was watching the 2001 "Road to the Superbowl". The Rams were trailing in the SB and when they started to comeback, one of their players said "The New England Patriots are over-rated. Tom Brady is over-rated!". I was sitting there with my jaw on the floor. How can a double-digit underdog, whom no one gave a chance, over-rated?


I hate the comparisons between the 2001 Pats - 2007 Giants and the 2001 Rams - 2007 Pats. The teams are nothing alike.
