Would McCourty be playing like he is if Bodden had been healthy? Would he have been thrown in the deep end like he has been?

He might be playing better for all we know. Bodden is a RCB and McCourty is currently the best CB on the team. So McCourty would still be playing LCB although picked on more. When he was picked on today, he responded spectacularly.

I'm not sure it matters so much. Good form is good form. That said I understand your point of view.

As far as the freaking Jets and Wilson I wonder if they will be in cap hell once the cap comes back; they spent like sailors on Liberty this offseason and the piper will come due when the cap comes back (if it does).

Agreed. McCourty is light years ahead of anyone on the roster that can play CB. He'd be playing no matter what.

Bodden is a solid but my gut tells me McCourty is playing pretty close to that level.

McCourty was imperious today. Had one INT, could have had another, and allowed only two passes his way? Think it was only two.

That play on Harvin for the near INT was beautiful. Harvin is about as quick as there is in this league, and McCourty went stride for stride with him, got inside him and made a play. Perfect play. It was utterly text-book.
