Stiddy discussion

I have to ask you.
The reason you type this way.
It is offputting.
I do not know
why he does that
but sometimes I do something similar
to emphasize the conceptual chunks
I want you to think about.

It’s because I know
my sentence structures
are sometimes baroque.

Watching this guy's press conference live. He seems overly self-assured, hope we can pound that smirk off his face. He said all the right things, of course, while coming off like he's prepping for a walk in the park.
It’s good that he’s confident but the guy has started less than 5 games in 7 years. There’s a reason for that

I usually get burnt out of pregame chatter by friday ish but after hearing this ****ing douchebag say that stidham and maye have similar ceilings while stidham’s floor isn’t as low i had to mail it in a couple days early. FFS!!! See yall Sunday

Interesting point from Zolak..It can mentally exhausting for a starter, so imagine a backup who hasn’t thrown a meaningful pass in 3 years.

If Stidham has been in Denver since R Wilson days + he’s all that, why would S Payton be so motivated to select Nix that high in the first round ?

Anything can happen on Sunday. But SP’s a pretty sharp offensive mind. If he saw a great future in Stiddy, he’d have shored up another position, rather than pick a new QB in the top half of the first round…

I know the Patriots have lost to Foles, Plummer, Sanchez etc. Those guys actually played games before the postseason. Foles was even a starting QB for a few years. That is much different than making your first start in a few years in an AFC title game.

I am not bothered.
I wanted to do haiku.
Mission accomplished.
To haiku, or not haiku
That is the question
Cause the Bard did not play football

Foles was leagues better than Stid. Sanchez as much as we joke about him was a starter for a few seasons too. They aren’t great quarterbacks but there is still a massive gap between a starter and a guy who has only started four games in seven years.

Which puts more pressure on the Patriots imo. It's one thing to lose to Nix or make the SB and lose. It's another to lose to said guy that has started four games in seven years. All the while watching this Broncos team then get obliterated in the SB (They won't have HFA and it's unlikely they keep it within two scores).

Each loss is dissapointing. I think losing this game would put a very sour note on a very good season. There would always be a "yeah...but" when looking at the 2025 season.

The one thing Stidham had going for him is that the Broncos team wasn't SUPER RELIANT on the QB position to win. They won on the strength of their defense. Playing your first game of the year in the AFC Championship game has to be pretty wild.

I mean, recently I heard Brian Hoyer on a podcast recollecting the 2017/2018 AFC Championship game when Brady busted his hand open in practice. Obviously we all know Brady ultimately played in that game....but when recounting the days leading up to it...Hoyer was alluding to the fact that he was nervous about starting in the game...he didn't exactly have the mindset of...GREAT, now i have a chance to show the world what I can do.

I imagine the same is true of Stidham.

I would like to congratulate Jarrett Stidham for becoming a leading favorite for MVP against Matthew Stafford and Drake Maye. The league has never seen such incredible talent. He has not thrown a pass in 2 years, has only started 4 games in his career, has thrown 8 TD and 8 INT in seven seasons, but he is now equal to Drake. Nice job Stiddy. No one knows how you did it, but the media is convinced you are equal to the MVP candidates. We should have just sat Drake all year and let Dobbs play. Then Drake would have been a total lock for MVP. This is amazing.

I just looked at all his game logs. He's never played in a meaningful game. He's only played when games are out of reach or its the last game of the season. This screams Spencer Rattler. Remember when there were 1-2 posters feared him?

We are going to the AFC Championship game. All you can think of is correcting peoples grammar or writing style
I don’t think the problem is me

To be fair, he can probably think of other things as well.

In fact, being that it’s Fnord I’m quite sure his mind is filled with other thoughts. Many doubtless are NSFW.

Benching Butler during the entire Eagles SB was a travesty. We needed one 3rd down stop to win that game. One. Butler could tackle and every other guy on the team forgot how to tackle that game. BB's stubbornness to watch his team give up 3rd and long after 3rd and long because a player didn't know how to close his hands properly, was just maddening. They had them dead to rights on a plethora of 3rd downs where the WR just somehow turned into their best impression of the greased-up pig guy and got the conversion.

Pride goes before ruin,
Arrogance, before failure.

[BB got extremely lucky the next year before the fall.]
