Eh...wouldn't have been sad to see Neal walk. He's obviously a quality player, but it seems like he misses more time than he plays lately. I hope this isn't for a lot of money or more than a year.

Why is it terrible? The quality of the Patriots OL play declines CONSIDERABLY when Neal is not in the lineup. Hopefully we didn't pay too much $$ though.

Great - Neal will always be the only NFL player from my alma mater considering Cal State Bakersfield has no football team We know Faulk will return, now we need Bodden and a couple decent mid level FA and things will be looking up.

Neal's OK if he can stay healthy. I want them to draft John Jerry out of MS in the 3rd or so. He has the heft to actually block someone as opposed to getting run over by them.:rocker:

Because we didn't get any better than we were last year. I wanted BB to trade our 1st and 2 2nd's for Jahri Evans, but he didn't because the game has passed him by and Kraft is cheap.

Don't get me wrong, I think Neal's great, but I thought it was time to move on in the interior OL. He's rarely healthy anymore. If he stays healthy it does eliminate one need for this season tho

I don't see anything wrong with this signing myself but don't hold your breath on that one. IMO, we should still be looking at a RG in the draft unless they are confident that Kaczur is the guard of the future.

Or maybe they don't want to pay a RG the 8 or 9 mil a year Evans will be making, along with losing a draft pick
