they are basically both loud, morning zoo jocks with a new angle......SAS angle is sports, he possesses enough sports knowledge to get reactions, but he basically is good at shouting and having a take to generate reactions.......he's not Dan Orlovsky out there studying film to come up with a football take, he's a sports-adjacent rage baiter who is very good at what he does

it's been good for WEEI, they've gotten great mileage out of it this week......but hell, even WEEI has more actual football takes than SAS

get sucked into the game if you want, but I'd rather hear an Orlovsky take on the All-22s

He was very complimentary about Maye in his comments answering whether or not the AFC runs through the Pats (which I'm taking as are the Pats going to at least get to host and/or win the AFC champ game). How is he taking shots at him? Heck, I'm glad he said the fool's gold thing just so that the Pats can get that little bit of extra motivation.



Here's his doubling down. No shots taken at Maye except that he's not a known commodity in the playoffs versus Mahomes (Lamar is very questionable).



Does Cam have a valid point? Sure. Bills lost to Mills n Phins. No Godwin/Evans. People'd prob take Kermit over Maye. Blah blah blah. He basically flipped a coin and went with it (as the Pats currently have a 41% chance of making the AFC Champ game according to playoffstatus). Do I want the Pats to shut him the heck up and win the AFC? Heck yeah.

I wonder if Cam has even watched a Pats game this season.

For instance, Ryan Clarke has always criticized Rodgers. Even when he has played well. Could it possibly be because Rodgers absolutely shredded his defense in a SB many years ago?

SAS has become so performative he has forgotten how to be normal. I actually cannot listen to him for more than a few seconds without losing interest.

I'm dumb as a barrel of fish but I cant understand why this even needs to be said. Person is spewing hot takes..."Gee...I need to keep watching this". Never understood that. I literally had to google PTI (which I saw in an earlier post) ...I thought it was some cute millennial thing. And yeah...all you who watch the PTI...you don't get to *****.

Yeah, but PTI isn't really in the same conversation. For the most part, they aren't in the hot take business. Maybe occasionally when a guest host is on, but day to day, they're just pretty normal, mostly level-headed opinions. Nothing remotely like the First Take garbage.

In his latest Power Rankings, TB12 basically said the same thing as Cam (way less controversially obv): "If you're gonna comment about the Chiefs in the top 10... Close your eyes. Visualize. It's January. It's cold out. And Mahomes has the ball with 5 minutes left. How do you think that story's gonna end? You're lucky they're not higher [than 10]." Colts not in the top 10 is funny.

Partly because sports media beats a dead horse with a dead horse.

They practically talk Maye 24/7 the same way that they idolized Mahomes. Its very much like the 50's - 60's Hollywood worship of prominent actors. I hope that it doesn't change Maye the way it changed Brady.
