Stefon Diggs visiting Patriots

Its a bit of a risk, but Edelman tore his acl at 31 yo, came back and had 2 of his best years at 32 and 33 yo before his body gave out at 34. If diggs could give us even 1 good year itd be well worth it, but his tear occured months later than jules so we might only be getting half a seasons worth.

I don’t think I heard about any issues. Seemed like he fit in fine under Demeco Ryans who profiles similarly to Vrabel in some ways. Also played with a second year QB in Stroud. Stroud had a bumpy year though.
Stroud was doing very well until Diggs got hurt. Someone else on offense also got hurt. I forget whom.

Diggs and Hunter, this is a different team.
That would really be wild. Even if LT was still janky, Maye would have some great options in a scramble drill… Ideally, though, they’d find some short term patch there.

This is actually surprising.

Maybe Vrabel and Diggs can come to an understanding. You get an incentive laden deal and if you start your ******** then you’ll never see that money. But if you can be a team player then you will be our legitimate WR1, you’ll rack up very nice stats and be rewarded for it.

The offense they ran in Houston the last couple years has some similarities to what McDaniels runs (his brother is the WRs coach there, so Diggs may already know Josh) and he’s probably a good fit from that perspective. He actually looked very good last year before he got hurt. He stepped right in for Nico Collins which is no small feat.
At this point we have very few options. At least Diggs has had experience as a WR1.

Coming off the ACL injury, I don't know how much juice he has left, but he certainly has displayed top tier talent in the past.

Perhaps we could sign him on an incentive laden contract similar to what we gave Bradbury.

Why would you put a condition like that on the player. What ********?
We want receivers who want the ball and speak up when they don’t get it not receivers who can’t get open and are polite

The problem is, he does more then just “speak up”

All their receivers got hurt down there. Diggs, Nico Collins, Tank Dell, John Metchie. Crazy

Now we're talking.
Giddy up!

That’s also where Wes Welker tore his ACL. His happened in the beginning of January, and he didn’t miss a game of the following regular season. He was 29 at the time though compared with Diggs being 32.

So? He can play.
You think a guy who can play who is unhappy when he isn’t producing is better then slugs who don’t seem to care but drop passes then tell you they have the best hands in the league?

Are we really becoming the fans who want to lose quietly?

At the risk of pointing out the obvious (and redundant), Diggs was a 5th Round Pick. Metcalf, Brown, Samuel, Higgins, and Pittman Jr. were 2nd Round Picks (and of course there are other WR's taken in the middle and late rounds of note). Why can't we draft such players in such Rounds? And, will Vrabel/Cowden be able to start doing just that? And that's for other positions as well.

Maybe Diggs won't be as much of a jerk as he is coming off an ACL.

No need for players throwing tantrums on the sidelines for not getting the ball.
Don’t you wish some of our current WRs had that dog in them? Instead they all produce at a very low level while still maintaining a good mood

Diggs tore his ACL late October. Assuming typical recovery, when would we see him on the field?
