It would've been bad business to pay Williams who's a backup a **** ton of money. That would cause problems with Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter.

Jalen Carter isn't even eligible for an extension until after this season. By that thinking, we made a HUGE mistake signing Carlton Davis (or any other decent CB) since he'll be earning much more than Christian Gonzalez this year.
