STEROIDS = CHEATERS
As per Ryan Clarke = CHEATERS never win
SO THAT means STEELERS never win
STEELERS *

I love how the Steelers always harp on Spygate, when they were notorious for roids and enhancements.

Those classy Steelers...

But if we question them, then we would have to question things like Harbaugh's call refusing a 2 point Safety and possession last night, causing yet again another betting swing between 150 million -1 billion dollars....

I have no problem with declining the safety, gave them the best chance log winning

What's Harbaugh's decision have to do with anything? Was absolutely the right thing to do for the Niners.

No it wasn't. The Niners would have been up 9 points and gotten the back ball. Practically a guaranteed win.

There is nothing SAFER about taking a knee and being only up 6 points. Teams HAVE fumbled the ball while trying to take a knee.

It was the right thing to do for odds makers.

How many thousands of games have ended with a qb taking a knee? How many times has it failed? I think there was one where the exchange was botched. Even then, Seattle has to go 80 yards with no timeouts. Seen lots of onside kicks recovered. You're wrong. Seattle was out of timeouts and had no chance to get the ball back if SF takes a knee. Take your tin-foil hat off. Harbaugh asked the ref to check a spot and calls his bookie to check the line. Please. You're sounding silly.

Who gives a crap if they did get an onside kick? There are no 9 point plays in the NFL as far as I know.

Tin foil? My ass...

Harbaugh's call shakes betting world

The worldwide swing in bets for that game, including online and overseas sports books, was estimated at as little as $150 million and as much as $1 billion.

"This game was just as much of a swing, if not more," Avello said.

Although this was a Thursday night game compared to the Monday night game in Week 3, and Monday night games typically are bet on more, Avello said this game was particularly attractive to bettors.

All week, Avello said the 49ers were 7-point favorites. Then yesterday, the line at the Wynn moved by half-points all the way up to 9 before settling back down at 8.

"If Harbaugh took the safety, this would have been an absolute disaster for us," Avello said. "We would have had to return all bets at 9, which were almost all Seahawks bets, and everything else from 7 to 8½ were mostly 49ers bets, so they would have won."

Jim Harbaugh's decision to decline a safety had a huge impact on the betting world - ESPN

Just cause you buy into everything this league sells you on about their integrity, it doesn't mean repeated events that move such immense sums amounts of money around are all innocent and coincidental....

You are just plain naive.

I didn't know the point spread and thought it was the correct thing to do. Didn't know about the hoopala until this morning's paper. You can recover two onside kicks ya know. Not everybody is concerned with points spreads believe it or not. Just winning football games.

You sound like a disgruntled losing gambler.

I have never gambled on a sporting event and never will.

I am just not naive enough to think the easiest sport in the world to rig isn't prone to it and when things like this happen, I pay attention.

The reason it pisses me off is because it ruins the game for the rest of us and it's kept more under wraps, under a facade of integrity. At least every other sport has been out in the open with it and made efforts to combat it, everything from soccer to NBA.

Except the NFL.

I would have declined the penalty.

That was a very unusual play. In order to believe a conspiracy. You must believe that Harbaugh knew the line jumped from 7 to 9 on the day of a game. That a lot of money switched to Seattle. That if there's a play late in the game that changes the score from a 7 point to a 9 point lead. Think twice before deciding what to do. Really????

Taking a knee is the safest thing a coach can do. Not only that. There are no more plays. No more injuries. You'd rather take the 2 points. Let them try an onside kick. If they recover, you now have to put your tired defense back on the field. Players can get hurt. All you had to do was take a knee to replace all of that. Play prevent. Maybe, Seattle goes down and gets a quick score because you're playing prevent and covers.

Why are we letting them derail this topic from what it should be about, which is the dirty, cheating, doping Steelers, and that everything they've ever done and will ever do is now tainted.

Right. Back on point. I love giving these Steelers fans hell out here. I just point out Brady owns them. I don't even count 05 and 08 because they're lucky as hell Denver beat us in 05 or they come to Foxboro. Not to mention the refs in the Super Bowl. And, 08 was because TFB was hurt

The Steelers are one of the untouchables in the league. This will not garner much publicity or probing by the league office. On the other hand, if this was an ex-team doctor of the Patriots ...........

The guy makes the right call and it's gambling conspiracy? You must be in the tin foil hat brigade leadership training course.

I agree that the constant tongue-bathing the Steelers get from the national press was tired before Jack Lambert hung 'em up, and we've seen far too much dirty play and punk comments from that team during the last 11 years of Patriots' excellence, and that the "Stillers" may have more than their share of obnoxious/entitled/jealous fans. However, if what happened to poor Mike Webster didn't raise enough eyebrows, neither will this latest news.

One other thing: Dan Rooney is one of the unsung heroes in the saga that ended with the construction of Gillette Stadium, which I still view as one of the truly great things to ever happen for us Pats fans (as it finally ensured that the team would, ya know, stay in the area). So for all that I believe what I said in the first paragraph to be true, I love that guy and can't really hate the ol' Steelers all that much. Especially not during "Jets week."

With all due respect. Lance Armstrong was untouchable. no one wanted to know for years. Thanks to the diligence, perservence and good work of a few he's been found out for what he is.

Where there is smoke there is fire. If the steelers had a doping doctor on their books questions need to be asked.

People are afraid to open up the can of worms that is the Steeler steroid issue because it would lead virtually the entire league to being implicated in PEDs.
