I was actually thinking the same thing. I like Spikes for his role too, but I can't shake the feeling he's one of those "surprise" cuts that shouldn't have been that surprising. Hopefully not, I like his gusto.

If you look at the AFC they are mainly run first teams. Aside about 5 teams Spikes could get alot of reps to do just that smash McCoy, Smash, Ridley, Smash Ivory smash whoever Miami I lining up behind center.
I like it guys like Spikes, Sheard, Brown, mean guys who want to punish the offense.

Love it. Dude hits about as hard as anyone in the NFL. His run stuffing will help ease the loss of Vince and he adds great depth to the LB Corp. Might be too many starters and not enough STers out of the LB corp. Anyone remember if Spikes plays STs?
