Most likely a block from the Rays. They are looking for an outfielder in case baldelli can't make it back.

I agree that it's most likely a block, we have enough good outfielders in Drew, Bay, Ellsbury, and Crisp

When a team makes a claim, do they move down on the order list for subsequent players that may be waived, or are claims always by inverse order of the team record? I believe it's the latter, but does anyone know for sure?

Everytime I see this guys name I remember the drunk guy "Giles" that used to call Howie Carr back in the 80's ... the drunk "Giles".

Gles had a "no trade to the Red Sox" clause and has blocked the trade.

I'm sure that the Sox aren't all that broken up about it, it (the wiaver claim) served their purpose.
