Wilhite. He started to improve in the 2nd half of the year and will only get better.

Exactly. On most draft boards, Wilhite was the next best CB after Wheatley..
I think Wilhite will be ahead of Wheat in the depth chart. He played better than Wheatley when given the chance in my opinion.

With the Springs/Bodden additions, i think the best Wheatley can do is be the 3rd corner

But taking into account our tendency to lose CB to the IR list I wouldn't be surprised if Wheatley ends the year as our #1...

I was torn between Guyton and Wheatley as a 1a and 1b respectively. I chose Guyton as I think he will be starting beside Mayo game 1.

I can guarantee you Mr. Bruschi will be alongside Mayo as he was last year and Guyton will come in on different situations.

Bruschi is not here another season to sit or he would have retired already

Unless Tedy has a preseason injury to keep him out he will be the starting ILB for another season, just maybe less time on the field than usual but he will still be #1 on depth with Mayo

BB won't sit his veteran player unless it gets obvious that Tedy is more of a liability than an asset in 09

I understand that line of thought, but I think Bruschi is more valuable as a side line coach and rotational player. Last year he really showed his age and I would think that BB would not risk a weakness in the defense for sentiment. I think that Bruschi will play considerably this year but not as a full time starter. The one thing that gives me pause on this is his clear leadership and his football intellect while on the field. Those are 2 traits that are hard to replace and would be a definate advantage over Guyton at this point in his career.

This is a tough one

CB - If this guys are in their the bodden, springs and hobbs are either in IR and Injured

OLB- Crabel was inactive for a few games. a guy who cannot even make the 45 and was inactive does not inspire any confidence when you think that woods and TBC were active for few games as UDFA and did what it takes to make it on the field.

Guyton - He is what he is , a 3rd down coverage /Outside rush LB.He is not brushi and not even retired seau so he will be a good rotation guy to spell brushi. last year brushi was very effective and he was tremendous in taking on gaurds and keeping mayo clean into the holes. I cannot just see guyton taking on gaurds and letting mayo do his thing. I think brushi being here has a lot to do with him taking 40 % of the defensive snaps on running downs.

Redd- Resis says he is the most powerfull of all OLB we have in development and he has the mass to go against TE and longer hands so take on tackles. i think he will be woods/redd pair on the ROLB him coming in passing down to rush.
