Its been mentioned a few times by commentators, including Bill Cowher. THIS is the real pre-season. The first three to five games. Particularly with Brady having gone down.

Should we ignore everything we see. Absolutely not. Should we obsess over everything we see? Again, absolutely not.

Are there issues for the Pats to work on? Hell yes there are. One of the biggest is the consistency of the O-line. Both in its pass protection and its run blocking.

Another area is Cassel's and Koppen's recognition of the defense and the adjustments that need to be made. There was one play, a run to the right, that the Jets brought up Kerry Rhodes to run blitz. Cassel missed it and the play ran smack into Rhodes. Had Cassel audibled it to a run to the left, then the Jets would have been hard-pressed to get someone to that side in time.

Its a work in progress and certain things are going to look bad. Others are not.
 
Agree 100%.

This team has a lot of work to do, but has a very high ceiling.
