I hope you're right JB. I think that's pretty much been all of our opinions the whole time, so Reiss isn't exactly stepping out on a ledge by speculating here.

Of course, he does note the old "unless there's a difference of opinion on value," so ummm, thanks...Mike.

I think he's a much better reporter than he is a speculator, although I suppose you could say that about any of them.

I worry about Solder's head. He's had a few too many concussions to my liking.

If the Patriots pick up Solder's option for 2015, he will not become an UFA until 2016. They have until May 3 to do so.

$8.6 million is the magic number but I hope they can extend him before May 3 and not have to spend that. Not sure how it exactly works but if they exercise the option can they extend him still and hopefully reduce the $8.6 million number?
