The "point of the thread" is that perhaps when one looks at a game in week 5 and want to fire the OC, or get rid of the WRs then I don't think this is the same "we need to improve" attitude that BB and the players take. In fact I think it's the opposite. You hear the players, Bruschi and Harrison said it today, say any W in the NFL is a good one. Also the historical references to the 17-6, 19-13, and 9-0 games in '03 are there to point out that even in a 14-2 year they don't win every game with 4 TDs. Those 3 teams in Weeks 6,7,8 were the Giants who were 4-12, the Dolphins who were 10-6, and the Browns who were 5-11. Not exactly the meat of the schedule. Should they have fired the OC? Gotten rid of the WR's and RB's? By this time in 03 they had lost 2 games. As I already stated in my original post analyzing the game is one thing but shouldn't we have a broader perspective by now. It's not how each game looks. After Cincy everyone thought that the WR situation was looking brighter, they played a tougher defense who gives them trouble, something both the coach and QB admit yearly. The secondary got 2 INTs yesterday and they gave up 10 points but I've heard that they stunk. Now it's just not this board but the radio also that I'm referencing. I also think this nothing is good enough attitude is what alot of fans are bringing to the stadium these days. Unless every play is a sack or INT on defense and a 70 yard bomb, as Troy says, then they don't get excited. They don't cheer and I've actually had people say to me in the stadium, "I'll cheer when they do something to cheer about". My philosophy is stay home and watch it on TV then. Contribute to the victory in what way you can by yelling or at least clapping. That's a whole other thread though
