Crazy talk. People do not "become" gay because of the lifestyle, they are congratulate for coming out of the closet because it is a difficult decision to make, to admit to others that you are gay is not easy and there is a ton of anxiety associated with coming out.

We as a culture are trying to lessen the anxiety associated with being gay, not being like 90% of your peers is very difficult, especially when there is a huge desire to be normal or like everybody else.

The idea that people want to be attracted to the same sex for the lifestyle is ridiculous. You can live that exact lifestyle and not be gay.

Most gay people I know tried very hard to be straight and it was a relief to finally just admit to themselves that they were gay.

Yes, a very small percentage of gays are able to act heterosexual in order to please their family or conform to religious beliefs...I am sure they are very happy with that choice...and never ever fall of the wagon...which of course begs the questions of whether they are just pretending to be straight?
