So, how you feeling about our draft class?

White was an awful pick with the offensive talent still available and the patriots being in dire need of actual talent on offense
Oh really? He was rated a mid 1st rounder the consensus mocks and the Patriots wanted him and were willing to trade up for him into the back of the 1st round.

You say this when we absolutely lack a pass rusher without him. Our DL would be even weaker without him. Who is your pass rusher without White?

I think white will be a good complimentary piece once barmore comes back. Same goes for mapu.

And we would have cost controlled version for 4 years which is okay.

I feel Polk is having a combination of bad luck, verbal and social diarrhea and playing out of position . If they use him in slot or probably as a Z instead of X he might do better . If Polk can give us 3 seasons of 700 yards / 5 TD we should get ROI on investment.

Yes we do not have blue chippers , but I am hopeful that with Maye's development the Oline and WR pool will start to inch up and outperform their drafting status.

Everything has gone out the door because of the abysmal defensive coaching . If Mayo can rectify that, I am hopeful offense will get into auto pilot mode towards a better performance.

White was an excellent pick and it was a superior draft class. The problem for White now is the loss of Barmore and Judon so White is getting double teamed. Letting Mathew Judon slip away was another bonehead move on the part of the Krafts, err, Patriots front office. If the offense is going to suck, then you need a strong D, but the knuckleheads in the, ah, front office did not seem to understand that.

Marty McPoo solid? Dude Sucks. And have you seen Keion White play this season? Dumber than a bag of dirt, or one selfish mother****er…

Jake the Latest Fake Sucks too.

Dell Pettis is NOT an NFL player.

And Special Teamers don’t count.

You are over reacting. Gonzo is good, White might be stupid but he is an athletic freak and will be back with a vengenance, Mapu is from a Div 2 school - you have to wait more than a two games into his Y2 to make a judgement, Boutte looks like a keeper, Douglas looks great, and special teams do count. That is a very solid, if not a great draft class. J Andrews might return from injury and be good too. Sow will always be a backup, but again, he was from a smaller school and needs time.

Compare 2023 to 2024? The 2024 draft class minus Maye, and maybe Robinson, is a cluster feck. The fact that you compare those two draft classes as equivalent indicates you are lost.

I think it's because they forced the picks to be offense. There were probably defensive players they passed up because they were forcing the pick on a WR and the oline.

This is correct. The team should always draft BPA.

Stop writing **** that's not true.

Draft has been "OK", but we needed "flawless"

and other drafts have also been "OK" -- we need to hit on 3-4 impact players to rebuild the roster. That hasn't happened in a very long time.

Ok is generous.
Right now it looks like they got one legitimate starter out of it.

If this were true, Bill wouldn't have been fired. The problem going on 10 years now is the Pats have not drafted a skill player on offense or defense that made a instant impact. It's always the same old "give him time" nonsense while other teams are finding gems in year 1. It caught up to Bill and as it does with every HC.

White was on the same field as Barmore last season, but was invisible. He had 4 sacks this season in two games without Barmore, but has gone back to being invisible after teams made adjustments. Good players find ways to overcome double teams.

White was Judon's backup, and didn't get run until later in the season.

He's gone invisible this year, because he's the only guy the other team has to block a) and b)he's playing incredibly undisciplined, because it's obvious he has no coaching at all.

Honestly I think it’s one of the better recent drafts. Only true negative is he who can’t catch balls yes has the best hands in the nfl if you know who I mean. A lot of these guys drafted don’t even sniff the practice squad. Most of this draft has played/started at one time. That tells you that either we nailed it or we were so devoid of anyone remotely close to a starter, everyone’s filling a hole. Or, both….

If you take Maye from the top, it was a horrible draft.

At least they didn't mess up everything.
The fact all of these guys says something. Whether it’s something good or bad is yet to be determined. Noones out of the league yet at least.

Or the coaching staff is like the GM and can’t tell good from bad…

Or neither can I and I’m just being a homer. You know I am REALLY curious as to what Mayo did at optimum exactly…

Is Gonzalez not a skilled player?

This is total ignorance

Not one of the guys drafted after Maye was a superior athlete, they got some good athletes, but not one really gifted one.

Can they develop them into actual players.. color me skeptical.
