snowstorm affect practice?

Maybe you're right, that's my question....WOULD it affect practice.

Just a flat "no", doesn't sound informed. 2 feet of snow and 50 mph winds aren't a typical snowstorm even in NE (I used to live there).

Maybe they are all staying in the hotel or whatever tonight. Blizzard of 78 was about 30-36 inches of snow and roads were impassable for about a week where I lived.

Two feet of snow (and actually it's 12-20" in most areas but in the vacinity of the stadium 10-15") isn't atypical. And we aren't having 50mph winds, either. The difference between this storm and '78 was timing as well as intensity and duration... That storm started after the morning commute and stranded homeward bound commuters throughout the late afternoon and evening causing a chain reaction that complicated plowing and eventually overwhelmed resources because of it's timing and duration. This storm is mild by comparison. Where the snow is deepest it's also lightest. Where it's heaviest the accumulation is least. It started late last night and is already winding down 12 hours later.

Being a football player this time of year in NE in the Belichick/Brady era is akin to being an essential employee who is expected to show up and even remain for the duration despite conditions. I guarantee you the majority of them stayed very close to the stadium last night including even the majority who live within 20 minutes of the stadium anyhow... and they may remain there tonight rather than deal with the reverse commute (although it will be down to lighter snow from now until it's over later this evening). It's part of the price they pay/expectation tied to earning a six figure income. Kinda like having to spend a Sunday night in Rochester... Only this way they are staying somewhere they have access to tape and equipment and lots of opportunity to work on getting even better before their game this week.

The media will have more trouble with the coverage commute than the players did.

Although the media hype machine would want to have you think otherwise, this isn't like the blizzard of '78 and it actually is quite typical for NE, at least in Maine where I live. We probably get 2-3 a year. No big deal. The only part that sucks is the shoveling.

I heard the Jets practice facility was closed for other reasons:

According to Lawfirm everyone was present and accounted for on time for practice this AM.
