I was most interested in the Rotation of the DE and the DTs. I don't have the benefit of review this week, so it seemed that we didn't do nearly as much 4 man rotation as we did 3 man.

Defensive end
Rob Ninkovich -- 42
Jabaal Sheard -- 41
Chandler Jones -- 37
Geneo Grissom -- 14

Defensive tackle
Malcom Brown -- 36
Akiem Hicks -- 33
Alan Branch -- 29
Sealver Siliga -- 6

If the Pats can keep this rotation going, I think we'll see lots of pressure put on opposing QBs..

Here is my take :

Sometimes we think "why didn't this guy play more ? or this n that ?"... But I truly believe none of them are as good as they "seem". BB puts them in positions to win. During practice, during the game... Then certain players flash skills and we expect more/want more. But they aren't as good as they seem. Which is why they move on to other teams and mostly become busts.

BB will tell us it's a player's game, players make the plays... while true, it really is BB. Because the league is set up to prevent prolonged success and prolonged failure. Yet BB beats the system. Often with players other teams discard (Ninko-Hicks-Lewis list is exhaustive). And then they sign bug contracts w some other team and usually disappear.

Martin : expect nothing. We are lucky he is this productive.

Andrews vs Stork....who do you like?
Every D line is different obviously but Brady was cleaner in the pocket yesterday.

Tidbits include:
  • Bolden was yanked entirely from STs.

No way. I read here that Belichick never removes players from ST duty due to injury concern or lack of depth at the position.

Martin : expect nothing. We are lucky he is this productive.

Not so sure about that one. Martin came in and learned the playbook very quickly, and has shown some flashes when given the opportunity. He's a WR4 who is being forced to play a WR3/WR2 role.

I agree with you that we shouldn't expect much, but I can see him producing more when given a larger role. Perhaps that comes this Sunday with Amendola likely sitting? I think we've seen worse with our receivers, but that's just my opinion. It's not exactly a glowing endorsement for Martin, but I think he makes a few plays down the stretch.
