SMU DE Taylor Thompson - a Belichick guy?

Was a 6.6 DE who was not invited to Indy. At his own pro day he had a good vertical 37" and a 4.5 40 time. But he was working out as a TE.

This spells Belichick guy or am I dead wrong?

I think he's a 4th round pick with a chance to sneak into the late 3rd as a TE. He was a 2-gap 3-4 end for SMU, so the OLB transition would be hard.

I'll wait for his teammate Margus Hunt. 6'7", 288, and NFLDS projects him to run a 4.68 40. He's not much of a football player right now, but that can change over the next year.

Yeah, I just posted about him, yesterday...but I'm going to delete that!!

I don't know what his Market Value is: DraftScout has him listed as a Mid Rounder, as Sciz mentions, but that seems a little odd: just last month ~ when they still had him listed as Defensive End ~ he was listed as UFA...And Pro FootBall Weekly, which seems awfully accurate, gave him a UFA Market Value.

But more than one Site has openly questioned his Passion for the Game.

So I would say: No. NOT a Belichick guy!!

And I have to say that ~ as I measure it ~ his Pro Day actually sucked.

I do believe I've just talked myself OUT of Taylor Thompson!! Off he goes!!
