I haven't posted or read this site in nearly a year. I apologize if it feels like I'm carpetbagging if that term applies to sports; but I saw you all wanting to spread the word on this, so I made a blog entry and linked it on the ESPN comments page. It's blowing up already.

Does anyone have a clear picture of the logos on the cameraman/soundman's shirts?

I believe that's the soundman. He looks like he's wearing one of those polos, with the team logo on the left side of the chest and Reebok logo on the left arm. And the green is close to the green the Jets wear...

Man, this is a slow week. lol

I believe that's the soundman. He looks like he's wearing a Jets polo.

We need people who recorded the game in HD. 1080 horizontal pixels is going to beat any pics you can find on the internet.

Probably not, no. But it's fun to imagine, isn't it?

Mike Reiss doesn't seem to think the story has much tread. I tend to agree, but we'll see. Maybe we're on to something. And it can't hurt.

I know. My friend has access to the large resolution Getty pics. I can't get a hold of him right now, but when I do, I'll get him to take a look.

1920 x 1080p is 2 megapixels fyi. High quality for a 4"x6" photo, or the lesser quality when expanded (but it looks great to the eye for TV).

Probably not, no. But it's fun to imagine, isn't it?

I'll be the first to admit that it could amount to nothing, but since Mike is a respect guy (with lots of sources), he could probably find out the burning answer in a phone call or two.

Who is this guy? and why is he allow to apparently film whatever the hell he wants?

If there is a harmless answer, it should be able to be produced quickly and everyone would be happy.

I thought I saw in a previous post that the NFL banned any local media outlets from the field during games?

It does, there was a big stink at the time.

In another thread one poster said it's the same shirt that Magini was wearing. A little darker than the guy next to him. But also that a TV station already confirmed the guy was a Jets employee. All we do now for sure is that by NFL rule this guy should've had a black vest on. He clearly does not. Even if he was with Jets Football Weekly he should've had a vest on. So he's either a Jets employee or a videographer who some how broke league mandate and was not wearing either a black vest or network (NBC) vest. We need to pass word of this to NEM's site and Patriots Planet. There really could be something here.

That's the thing! IT'S THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE GAME! You can look back through this thread for screen grabs. Plenty of them. There's even a nice closeup on another thread here. It even has the time up on screen in a couple of the pics so you can pull time code from that. But it looks like he's all over the place. Filming the Jets sideline when the Pats are on O. Filming onto the field and in to the general direction of where the Pats coaching staff is when the Pats are on D.
