Slater hurt

That totally inexcusable delay-of-game penalty on 2nd and 4 on their final offensive drive may have cost them Slater's season. They're lucky it didn't also cost them the game.

What kills me is they got a delay-of-game then took a timeout, and the announcers didn't even blink. A bad team would have gotten raked over the coals for such a boneheaded series of events.
That sequence was definitely a cluster. An uncharacteristic Brady brain fart.

Yeah you can't look at injuries that way. You might as well have just said that if Slater ziged instead of zaged he would have been fine on the play.

Slater injured himself on a previous punt coverage. I was surprised to see him running down the field. I'm upset they put him in on that play when he was limping after he first injured himself in the game.

In hindsight it does look like he aggravated the previous injury. Hard to say more without knowing the details (e.g., was he examined by the team physician after the first injury, if so what was the diagnosis, and what did the doc say about the risk of making it worse with continued play, was it in fact the same injury or a new one, etc.).

Bingo. Wouldn't be there if he had a season ending injury. Take a seat for a month Matt, and we'll see you in Denver.
He may miss a week or two but he won't sit longer than necessary. No need to put players on ice if they're ready to play which, I suspect in this case, will be before 11/29.

Hope so, but Nate Solder walked through the locker room which we took as good news, but 12 hours later he was out for year.

Looks like he might be ok.

Today, he looked much better. He walked without a noticeable limp, and wasn't aided by crutches. He declined an interview request by the media, but based on appearances alone, this doesn't appear to be a serious issue, or one that would keep Slater out a long period of time, which was at first feared.

Matthew Slater looks like he may have dodged a severe injury

That's nuts. I mean I'm really happy about it but wow.

Maybe a mild sprain on the knee

Glad to see not limp. Those prosthetic legs are really making progress these days. Announcement to come tomorrow.
