Rong 6 is thinking of a come back... I'm waiting for it.
No comeback needed. The guy needs surgery. That doesn’t refute that if he was healthy he can’t go on IR. Hes in IR because he is demonstrably injured.

And his NFL career is already over the writing is on the wall.

Probably but he didn’t request to go on IR while healthy.

Too bad , rumor has it he has the best hands in the league. Well, look on the bright side. It *always * looks better to cut a 3rd year second rounder rather than a 2nd year second rounder. So when next year’s cut down comes around, it’ll Look like we got more value. Case in point - young Mr. Thornton.

Polk probably would have some worth in a trade, but it would be damaged right now because he is hurt. So a team that might've sent a 4th, might now only send a 5th or 6th because he's injured. At that point, you may be better off just putting him on IR. If you make him one of the two "cutdown day" IR-DTR guys then he can come back midseason without taking up a spot on the 53 for a day.

That said, you don't know if he will be needed by then either. They could optionally just IR him now before cutdown day, use their two IR-DTR spots on other guys, and let him study the playbook all season and get ready for 2026. Two of their WRs likely to be on the 53 this year are in their 30s so there's still a need to continue developing young WRs.

The fact that they have not yet IRed him though gives me the impression that he is a somewhat likely IR-DTR candidate.
fourth seemed a tad optimistic. probably 6th at most

Polk had NO Value before the injury: we're talking about a WR who was Ranked DEAD LAST at the positions his Rookie Year: C'mon Ross.

Really mind boggling when you think of how bad he is.

Polk and Baker are so bad: they make guys like Jon Jiles and J Webb look like legitimate Players.

I'll take Webb on the PS.
