While having a good offense CAN help the defense, that's not always the case. Why don't you go back and look at the 2003 and 2004 Colts offenses and tell me what their time of possession and where their defense was ranked.

I believe that their defense was completely horrendous, and that if their O was average, the D's stats would have been worse than abysmal.

Not sure on this. With taller receivers that can jump, like a Fitgerald or Moss, then you naturally would think that a taller CB would be needed. But, with a quicker (and smaller) db, as long as they can keep up and then break up a pass, it really doesn't matter.

Great post Ken, and I'm in complete agreement with you. I am sick to death of watching the under-talented, injury-prone midgets at both CB and Safety that have stumbled through Foxborough the past 4/5 years. It's now time to give both size + talent a chance, for a change.
