English please.....

Err....uhh....we fackin' shoulda blown their fackin' azzes out....shoulda been two wicked blowouts over da queer Manning brothers....but we fackin' punched ourselves in the fackin' cack....

Why should it have been you? What evidence fo you have that you "should" have beaten the Pats even if 100% healthy? The fact that you were spanked by them earlier in the season or that you lost in the AFCCG the year before too?
We're due. There has never been a major sports league Championship out here. You'd think we were being punished for our good weather or something...

Two words: Fee and Ble.
Just go enjoy your Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots titles and be happy.

Jeez...

What you guys are due for is a long stretch without ANY competitive teams like most sports cities have - but with the money in your town that ain't gonna happen, is it?

Cool, way to go. Anyway, I was referring to your metaphor about "playing with fire" and "getting burned." Anytime you want to explain what you were talking about is alright by me........

Well the money argument only applies to the Sox. And you only have two teams, so it should take you twice as long as everyone else And you don't consider the Chargers to be competitive? If you compare the Chargers and Padres to the Sox and Pats, until 2001, the dominant titleless stretch would have gone to the Pats and Sox.

What we are due for is not having a Chargers fan ****ting up our threads and wondering why we're supporting the pats on a pats forum.

hey thanks for bringing it up.

Gotta say, I really don't EVER need an F-ing thread like this. BadMoFo, you so clearly, so DEFINITELY, so CONSTANTLY, have the worst instincts on this board, it's amazing.

F you and this thread.

Sincerely,
Those of us who will NEVER get over it

LOL, well said.

You guys could of you know, not clicked the link.

Bill Belichick lost the biggest game of his life to Eli Manning.

It’s our reality and you will be reminded for the rest of your football watching lives. Be it ESPN commercials, Gatorade ads, commentary during games, etc. No need to rag on the topic creator for this. Taking a “La-la-la, I’m not listening!” approach concerning the loss isn’t all that helpful either.

No.

I also saw this on MSNBC today and kind of expected someone to make a topic. Breaks my heart just as much but I just don't know why people are personally insulting the guy.

the padres just got a brand new stadium, but moores won't spend any money on players. padre fan is getting taken to the cleaners and the chargers just might be taken from san diego. combine that with losing a couple of nba franchises for non support and what you've got is a pretty crappy sports town.

It's just a saying, maybe you've heard it, maybe not. I am talking about "fire" in the sense of "when you play with dangerous flames" (i.e. letting teams hang around too long) then you will get "burned" (i.e. lose).

I think I've just finally finished picking up pieces of that smashed remote...:bricks:

Just be glad you don't live here. We get nothing but frustration as sports fans. Of course, the biggest problem San Diego has as a sports town is all the damned transplants. All the cast-offs from Boston, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, etc, etc, keep coming here and won't go back home. Almost none of them ever root for San Diego teams. Thanks for sending us your cast-offs!

The Chargers probably will move to L.A. - making things worse.

Shoulda been us... just once before we lose the Bolts.

Uh, I hate to break it to you, but the city of Boston (minus the Celtics in the 80's) was pretty much title-less for much of the last century. Not until the 2000's did the Pats finally win a SB, and do I even need to remind you about the Red Sox? I think Boston has paid it's dues.

Dude, are you totally clueless? The Celtics OWNED the NBA title during the entire 1960's! And they won THREE championships in the 80's!

The Red Sox were competitive in the 70's when the Padres sucked!

The Patriots had just as many winning seasons as the Chargers after the NFL/AFL merger! (Even before your current run - remember a guy named Steve Grogan? I do...) The Pats made it to two Super Bowls before winning one. (The Chargers have just been there once.)

Paid your dues... Come on - Give me a freaking break! Boston's got at least 16 Championships in the last 45 years!

Try living with ZERO. Man, can you imagine the *****ing in Boston if you hadn't won ANYTHING. I mean, if 16 titles leaves you feeling less than satisfied I shudder to think how much complaining there would be if you hadn't won anything!
