Kolton Miller wingspan 82 1/2"how long are his arms
The Raiders have plenty of cap space, they’ll probably come to an agreement.
Miller, Carter, Jayden Higgins LFGdoubtful they’d trade him. wouldn’t offer 4 or 38, id do both thirds.
Yeah, usually these contracts are worked out in advance of the actual trade. This is sort of where I'm at with this. What is Miller looking for in a new contract that has him unable to reach an agreement with a Raiders team that has both the $ and the need? Dalton Wagner isn't exactly threatening him on the depth chart, I don't see the incentive to move him for the Raiders. With the LT market being what it is, if he walks next year Vegas would likely be looking at a 3rd round compensatory pick. So we're looking at a mid to high 3rd as the starting point in any trade discussions on top of whatever his contract demands are.
The Pats would have to be sure of their ability to extend him before pulling the trigger

But he is 29 so there is always the possibility the Raiders look at this season as a total rebuild and let him go. In which case I would certainly trade a middle round pick for him and extend him a reasonable 2-3 year contract. He's a stud. This would all be dependent on the Raiders. They have enough money to pay him.
FIFY.Miller, Carter, Jaylin Noel LFG!
I'd give up the later third for Miller. The Pats have a big enough need and have the money. Their line assuming health would instantly become one of the best in the NFL.Hard to imagine the Raiders would take anything less than a mid 3rd given his likely compensatory value but there is the whole 'a 4th this year is worth a 3rd next year' thing
Works too so long as it starts with Carter I'm good. Even though I know he'll be gone I'm not giving up until it's over.FIFY.

If they could pull this off pre-draft, they could use the 4th overall on the best player available instead of reaching for a tackle. But again, this is all Raiders dependent.
exactly. they can afford to keep him.The Raiders have plenty of cap space, they’ll probably come to an agreement.
Yeah, but compensatory picks are arbitrary. Also if you trade for a third round pick now you get to spend the pick in this upcoming draft, if you wait you don't get the pick until next offseason. I don't think it happens but if I was the Pats I'd be on the phone.I would absolutely pull that trigger if I'm the Pats GM but if I'm the Raiders I doubt that's enough to get me to do the deal since I'm probably getting a 3rd back in a compensatory pick if he walks. The deal may need some further sweetening. That said, unlike a lot of what's been getting kicked around here lately this has some potential in the real world
The only real difference is age, Miller is 29 and on the back nine. Jackson is in his mid-20's or his prime. I wasn't high on Jackson so I'm glad they didn't reach for him. Miller is uber talented. Maybe Miller's age makes the Raiders flexible?exactly. they can afford to keep him.
its just like the alaric jackson scenario... guy won't hit free agency next year, unless something extraordinary happens

lot of the linemen are playing to their mid thirties... not a big deal like a 30 yr old running back would beThe only real difference is age, Miller is 29 and on the back nine. Love this thinking.3rd rounder for a starting LT isn’t going to get it, at least imo.
I wouldn’t hate trading for him (as long as an extension or contract gets done) and grabbing Jeanty. That’s if Carter and Hunter are gone of course.
If they want to keep him, they absolutely will because as you point out they can afford to. But there was a report they haven't engaged so they might just not want to pay to keep him.The Raiders have plenty of cap space, they’ll probably come to an agreement.
