I would give Wolf another chance he has Green Bay's Drafting roots: he made terrible Trade in the Second and Reached the rest of the 24 Draft. I think Wolf will learn from his mistakes: more times than not you Trade Up and not Down.I'm officially in the camp of supporting a coaching change. I've seen enough. Bob needs to talk to Vrabes.
Just not seeing any improvement with the team or with Mayo as a coach.
Thank God they seemed to have done the right thing with Maye.
I'm not sure about Wolf and having confidence he'll draft well and spend wisely in FA.
After identifying the GM's many failures, will Wolf fire himself?Good post.
If I were RK and JK, the first thing I would do is ask Mayo and Wolf to identify what went well, what went wrong in 2025,
Definitely Wolf's.....which Kraft eagerly embraced.I'm not sure who's decision it was to not spend in FA. Might have been Wolf's
Maye will likely go 1-10 in his rookie season.Agree it would be a bad look for Krafty but it's an even worse look to go 7-27 the last 2 years....and if in Dec of 2025 the NEP are 3-11 again then he'll look worse.
I don't see that as level headed thinking. This off season is far too important to just say....well let's give them another year. We have a lot of holes and a lot of money heading into FA. Sign the wrong players with bad contracts and that sets the team back two -three years on the rebuild.I actually laughed out loud with this thread.
This Arizona game really pissed me off. Nothing is evolving, and most of it is just straight up getting worse
One of thing we could relly on in BBs golden years is that whenever we started sucking, we go back to fundemantals. That is trench work, being physical, focus on the basics of football and get something running.
We have COMPLETELY lost that. Player suck, and they don't care. Units suck and they don't change anything. then there is everything else.
So am I changing my opinion and join the masses asking for Mayo's head?
Nop. I said this October 20th. And I'll keep it.
We keep Mayo, and Wolf for next year. If we start lousy, we fire them. I understand the cons, but also think, with level-headed thinking it's not worse than firing them at end of this season/"now".

And we haven't made it to the draft yet. Hose that again and kiss Maye's rookie contract goodbye. It's gone and wasted because of stubbornness.
Is there a guarantee a new regime comes in and gets it right? Nope. But we know this regime is all but guaranteed to completely **** it up. To the figurative gallows with them.
Firing Mayo won't look bad for anything, except Kraft's ability to hire talent with his emotions. Which is to say, that's everything for a guy trying to cement his HoF legacy. But, if he's not willing to concede a short-term mistake now, this team will flounder for the rest of his decision-making days, which is to say, hopefully not much longer.Kraft needs to understand that he will look bad regardless. Options are:
- Keep Mayo and it looks bad. Mayo then takes care of continuing to make Kraft look terrible.
- Fire Mayo and it looks bad short term. The backlash is then quickly buried under copious amounts of fanfare and renewed hope. As long as you do a legitimate hiring cycle.
This is a no brainer.
Guys, if Mayo is such a disaster (he is), then why should Wolf be solely credited for a horrible roster?I would give Wolf another chance he has Green Bay's Drafting roots: he made terrible Trade in the Second and Reached the rest of the 24 Draft. So, the Mayo Touch that turns gold to crap...Guys, if Mayo is such a disaster (he is), then why should Wolf be solely credited for a horrible roster?
They are being coached by the worse, most inexperienced DEI hire ever. And not only Mayo, but most of the bloated, fratboy position staff as well. Couldn't that turn draft/FA players into crap?
Just look at the massive regression of guys like Rham, Dugger, Onwenu, Pop, White, Jennings, Uche, and failures of decent FA vets like Takitaki, Watts, Hawkins.
It may not be because the players suck, but the system, coaching, culture took a dive and made garbage out of potential.
The opposite of what a good coach can do.
What you said ^ there is what an Independent Football mind would tell the Krafts. We'll see how committed to winning they are.Guys, if Mayo is such a disaster (he is), then why should Wolf be solely credited for a horrible roster?

No the players suck. For 5 years this fanbase has tried to pretend this was secretly a good roster that one person was letting down whether it was the QB, the OC or the HC.Guys, if Mayo is such a disaster (he is), then why should Wolf be solely credited for a horrible roster?

Disagree Great Talent elevates Teams and we are Lacking that. A Good FA and Draft equals a competitive Roster. We have a Taxi Squad Roster Active on Game Days. Yeah you ain't going to win a lot of games with those guys. Give Maye legit talent and those possible come from behind games would have been wins.No the players suck. For 5 years this fanbase has tried to pretend this was secretly a good roster that one person was letting down whether it was the QB, the OC or the HC.
They just suck. Everyone knows they do. Mayo sucks too, but this team is not a quick fix rebuild regardless.
Yea Wolf's drafting after Maye and the lackadaisical approach to the o-line has me skeptical he knows what he is doing.I would give Wolf another chance he has Green Bay's Drafting roots: he made terrible Trade in the Second and Reached the rest of the 24 Draft. I think Wolf will learn from his mistakes: more times than not you Trade Up and not Down.
Yea i'm shooting from the hip on Maye being a top 10 next year but for me i've seen enough to think he can get there with the right talent/coaching around him. Can't get worse than what he has now. This im with you 100%. if this was just a company, if they don't f**** ace the review of their ****show projects, they're out the door.
Fair enough view, but I would add that this mentality makes more sense to me if this all process is, indeed, a multi-year deal (or, at least, more than 1 year thing).
also a bit premature to say that we KNOW Maye can be a top 10 qb, but I want to be hopeful too lol
True. But to me Kraft is the main culprit of the team's dysmal situation, so what's beneath rock botton anyway?
With the Praises heaped on Mayo as a successor I thought we were in good hands. But I learned he only had a ****ty LB's position Coach experience to hang his hat on.Yea i'm shooting from the hip on Maye being a top 10 next year but for me i've seen enough to think he can get there with the right talent/coaching around him. Can't get worse than what he has now.
Kraft f-ed up and promised the job to Mayo without having folks come in and interview. Negligent.
Sure. You however are not getting enough talent for Maye in one year to fix the offense.Disagree Great Talent elevates Teams and we are Lacking that. A Good FA and Draft equals a competitive Roster.
