Agree. He's absolutely worth a 1 year deal for a team with space to burn. Put him on the PUP or carry him until he's ready.

Unless hes cut and agrees to a new deal I don't see how Bill takes on $11m with a already snug cap situation to begin with

I agree, you don’t touch him on that deal.

I don't see how it's crying over spilled milk. Years ago or not, the last time he was here, he tapped out of the biggest game of his life two years in a row over minor injuries that others have played through countless times. The last of which saw his teammate pleading with him to get back on the field. That drives home the idea that he was more interested in preserving his body for the upcoming payday than helping his team win. So yes, it's very relevant. I don't begrudge a man for wanting to make his money, but I do reserve the right to judge him for the decisions that he makes while playing for the team that I root for. That's why I'd rather have Sherman. When healthy, he's the better CB of the two and didn't tap out two years in a row over minor injuries in the title game.

It will also help if they don't bench starting cornerbacks who played 98% of the snaps for the season. Also that.

I’d much rather have Sherman as well; as you can see by my previous posts. However, it IS crying over spilled milk because it already happened and there’s nothing we can do about. That’s actually the very definition of it. I actually agree with you guys in regards to Sherman vs Talib. I just think it’s useless to keep mentioning what he did in the past, as if it’s going to determine what BB do.

I don't think anyone is making the claim that Talib tapping out in 2012 and 2013 will determine what BB will do. The people talking about that are just using that as a reason for why they wouldn't care to see him back over a guy like Sherman.

It's not spilled milk since it could inform what he does in the future. Just to be clear, I'm not saying it would be a determining factor for me, but it is something to throw into the mix.

Yeah we were, but I put that loss on the front 7 more than I did the secondary. Sure, we had missed tackles...but do you remember the Eagles OL jerseys being "turned" except for Harrison's rush late in the game? Do you remember Foles being under duress? If we had Hightower in that game....we would have six now....arrrggghhh....

Yeah, we can analyze the game however we like, but I cannot and will never get past the single worst coaching decision in BB's career. Everything else about that game is irrelevant to me.

Now I'm by no means saying the rest of the team played fine and has no need for upgrade; quite the opposite. But it does seem silly to overanalyze the Super Bowl when we all know exactly why we lost.

Which wouldn’t have happened if said starting corner had anything close to the game changing ability of a Talib or Sherman.

Sign them both. Perhaps they'd be willing to a little less for the 1st year in hopes of creating a fun, super-elite secondary that sets records. If not, 1 of either Sherman or Talib is still fine.
