I tried going through 4-5 pages of this site and couldn't find the Seymour thread, so I said "Eff it", I'm just going to start me a new thread on it!!

Anyone heard anything about his return?

Only that hes ready and could return any time.

but still not practicing?

He can't practice until the "window". They have 2 more weeks, and three weeks after that to either activate or no. Looks like they're going to give him some time.

DLine isn't really a problem now, so it looks like they'll use their alotted time

I just remember a tv report late last week (maybe sal pal) that he was ready to go and it was up to BB to decide when he started practacing.

If he is truly ready I say put him in in the 2nd half of the Skins game and get him battle ready and tested for Indy.

I really don't want to see a rusty Seymour against Manning and his OL unless of course he is still hurting a bit before then.

If he was going to play against the Colts, they would have started the 3 week practice clock. The fact they've got the Jacksons practicing and not Seymour tells me it's at least 3 weeks for Sey. Why wouldn't they use the practice time?

The line has been strong and they're going to be subbin pass defense packages against Manning, so I think they're letting Sey heal up well.

He took an all over body battering last year.

As much as I'd love to see him play, I'd hate it worse if he got hurt again.

And we all know that Jarvis Green facing up on Manning is like Jason Taylor facing up on Brady.

I think Peyton fears Green more than Seymour,He has been dominant against the Colts when he was a replacement in the playoffs a few years ago.

He had a bad knee, elbow, and another problem i think, that i can't remember now.And that wesale Dr. Z was calling him the biggest dog he'ed ever seen. Which is why i don't take anything written by most reporters or columists seriously anymore.

At least a bad ankle on top of that. If I have a pet peeve it's people that knock players when they know they're playing through injuries.

That's the lowest of the low IMO.

They seem to dominate lines with warren and Wilfork, even though Green gives teams a different type of problem that Seymour. Like Patriots64 says, Green is our best pass rusher our other linemen are road graders. We don't need to dominate their line to stop the rush, we need to contain Peyton.

I think we need Seymour back not to pressure the QB but to help with the run D. Sey is a dominant player against the run and pass. Jarvis is better at rushing the QB. Once Richard gets back (and BB will probably ease him into the starting lineup) we'll have our dominant D line once again just in time for the playoffs. Don't get me wrong, I love the way Jarvis has been playing and he's a great contributor to this team, but having Seymour back would make us that much better on D. I would assume BB will activate him for week 11 against the Bills given the fact that we have a bye after Colts.

It would be nice to have both and play some 4-3. I think right now without Seymour it limites our ability to do so .

With Brady on fire Seymour will reap the benefits because BB with his schemes can now go from vanilla to blitz happy. If the Pats can create a gap in the score early, it will force the other team to pass more which will allow the D line to play a more blitz instead of run defense .

Don't know anymore than you do, but I'm definitely pumped for his return. I can't wait to see this D with him in there. Lethal.

He'd certainly have to start practicing this week to play at Indy, but I really think it would have been last week. The D could use him.

Any particular reason why? Not like he doesn't know the defense. And the specific Colt gameplan won't be out until next week. Getting into game shape? He's a DL, not a CB.

I don't think he comes back until he is 100%. Not 90%. Not 99%. If he is 100% now, I would expect to see him against the Colts. I wouldn't necessarily expect to see him this week unless the gameplan specifically called for his skill set. The first game back will likely wear on him and having a bye week to evaluate and recover makes good sense.

Anyone who thinks Seymour would not be a tremendous addition to this d at any point is insane. He would go along ways in helping stop the run.

I hope he comes back as soon as he can. Having Sey for Indy would be a huge addition.

Seems like people are holding the crap out of jarvis and it's not getting called.

Seems like poeple are running at Jarvis' side with success. BUT...since we play the Colts in less than 2 weeks, and Sey has not stepped on the field all year, I look for him to return after the bye. Love to see him, but I think someone else will have to tackle Addai.
