Hall of Fame has always been about individual accolades, not what you did with a team. This is especially true for non QB’s.

I really think it's weird that Coates hasn't gotten any love from the HOF. Apparently, every TE with 500 catches or more has gotten in. Dude had 499 and was the most dominant tight end for a good five year run.

I fully admit I could be knee deep in nostalgia on this, of course.
