I was trying to come up with a patriots edition of "the night before Christmas", but no words in my 8th grade vocabulary rhyme with "patriots/Gillette/new England/razor" etc.

Ahh well. Merry Christmas all.

Twas a few days before game 16 and all through web
Not a Pats fan was smiling, not even a troll
The 2025 draft picks have top selections with every loss
When rumors leaked out that Jonathans the real boss

Thunder was out dancing with Oprah and Gail
What a paltry consolation for NFL HOF fail
A happy ending would have been a better prize
But Pats Nation doesn't want anymore of his lies

Not that long ago Bob was King of the hill
To hear him tell it that was not because of Bill
Ownership is what wins in the NFL
Just look at what Jerry Jones has to sell

Win or lose Boston is a Red Sox town
Fenway is always full watching those clowns
Bob and Jon will be sitting all alone
If the losing keeps up and everybody stays home

Fire Mayo, fire Covington, fire AVP too
Lets start over like the Browns and Jets do
Wolfe and Groh evidently get a free pass
When frankly, the Pats 2024 draft class looks like ***

Maye is the only guy who looks legit
Some Pats players like Jacoby are ready to quit
McKonkey would have been a productive starter for sure
But, no trade down for Polk and Baker who are totally obscure

Belichicks drafts and coaching don't look so bad
Same old story not appreciating what you had
I suppose things could always be worse
And they will be if the Kraft's don't open up their purse.

Very loud Italians doing the 7 fishes here. Enjoying the quiet while it lasts.

My mother wasn't Italian but used to cook 7 fishes on Christmas Eve for 20 people. And she did it on one of the smallest gas stoves I've ever seen. Everything was always great, including the various pies and cakes for desert. I could never figure out how she could do all of that but she sure did.
