Your characterization of Belichick giving bonus recommendations when asked about people who worked for him in order to help himself is far worse than my interpretation that the man claiming he was racially discriminated against believes that man he called part of the problem is racist.

I overstepped there. This whole minority hiring thing is a sore subject for me and I let my temper get the better of me. It all ties in with the overall corruption of nfl owners and goodell. And the giants had already given daboll a zoom interview. IF they hadnt made their minds up already why was belichick congratulting who he thought was daboll via text? I disagree with you about flores implying bb is racist. He worked for him for what ? 12 years? And has had only great things to say about bb and the pats. He reiterated that again either yesterday or today. Said he only had positive things to say about his time with the NEP.
The nfl' s hiring record is a joke. Thats a fact. So Im giving Flores the benefit of the doubt until the facts prove otherwise.

Maybe thats what you would like to think.
By all accounts,Flores has a strong relationship with Belichick.
What hes likely referring to is what happened when Josh McD and Joe Judge were both interested in the Giants hc job a few years ago. Many inside the nfl think Bill steered the Giants to Judge simply because he didnt want to lose Josh McD.
In this case getting Daboll to leave their biggest division rival would benefit the Patriots. I dont see anything wrong with either- Bill's just doing whats in the Pars' best interest.
For you to try to stretch this into Flores "implying " BB's a racist, says a lot about you. None of it good.

Doesn't matter where the media is. Legally nothing is going to happen. People already don't like BB (outside of New England) anyway so his Q-rating isn't going to take a hit. Kraft isn't going to fire him or force him to retire. Even the League doesn't have any leg to stand on since he not only used to employ Flores but has other black coaches on his team like Mayo and Brown.

Okay so if you believe that then how can you say this is bad news for BB? It could all turn out to be sour grapes from Flores.

While not ideal that Flores is perhaps suggesting BB is part of the old boys club, there have been 3 (to my knowledge) black HCs that have interviewed for jobs elsewhere straight from NE : Crennel, Flores, and Mayo. The first two did indeed get hired and it's only a mater of time for Mayo (who is still quite young). As soon as Mayo gets a job, that'd be 3/3, which I'd think (1) is better than avg (2) an indication BB gave a good reference.

My immediate reaction is i'm a little disappointed Flo is calling out Bill here and not practicing common sense. It's obvious the Giants were doing their due diligence on Daboll after the initial Zoom.

To imply Bill intended to be part of this conspiracy to not give a Black HC an equal chance at a job is a pretty serious charge.

Speaking from experience, it is a common practice for a hiring manager to query his contacts and do some checking on a potential candidate before the final round of interviews. I wouldn't call them "reference checks" but they do serve the same purpose.

What I don't know is after the convo with Bill, did the NYG make up their minds on Daboll as HC and the Flo interview was in fact a sham.
