Seahawks got SB advice from source with conflict of interest

FWIW....

Dan Patrick elaborated a bit this morning on his show, said that Macdonald told him off the record who it was, that he won't reveal it himself, but that it was NOT Tom Brady. He also said that it was NOT Diana Russini, which is I guess another rumor that has been out there. Finally he said it was someone who was not with the Patriots at any point in the season, which would have been 100x more unethical.
It is crazy the insane level of delusional so called Pats fans will go to and the scenarios they will make up in their head to come up with a reason to **** on Brady.

This entire thread is just people making **** up to **** on Brady.

So sounds like it's confirmed it wasn't Brady. Guess the GOAT bashing will have to be another day.

Nah, nah, nah. He doesn't get off the hook that easily. In fact, I'm kinda pissed that he DIDN'T give any info, because I'm pissed that I fell for the bait, a bait set by my own insecurity and penchant for victimization! **** Brady.

They'll come up with something
Been the case since he left in 19

Btw a real conflict of interest would be like... If Josh McD was being interviewed by the Seahawks pre-SB, while game planning for the Seahawks. Just so we can all remind ourselves of the pretty rigid guidelines that define a "conflict of interest"

Wait a second. You're actually saying that it's on Brady that fans mistakenly blame him for something he didn't even do?

That's ****ed up.
and if he would've denied it those "fans" wouldnt believe him they already stuck in their gay opinion

I do miss the Team Bill vs Team Tom days. Posters turned on Bill and tapped out during the 2020 season.

Lol SB 55 was the dagger
Posters imploded and caused them to jump ship like TommyBrady12. I miss him trolling us.

Signbabybrady also imploded.

Some people are unable to separate the player and the person and it shows up in times like this. "Brady gave us six Super Bowls, he must always be loved unconditionally!"

Sorry, I don't work like that.

Do I think Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback in the history of the NFL? Absolutely. Do I think he's an incredible winner? Oh yes, no doubt. Did I like him as a person for most of his time here? For the most part, yeah. He was a doofy dork who got left hanging for high fives. He was an incredible success story of hard work and determination.

But he changed.

Somewhere along the way, for whatever reason good or bad, he got wrapped up in his own story. He believed in a conman who spread dangerous medical misinformation. He shilled for crypto. And on and and on. Over the last decade or so, he's become TB12, not Tom Brady. A brand, not a person.

Incredible really. I have never seen a fanbase hate on their greatest ever player, one who won 6 rings, like Pats fans on here. Is this a Boston is full of assholes kind of thing? I don't get it.

I gave more clown emojies in this thread than every other thread, ever, put together. Some of these people did not deserve to enjoy the 6 rings. Embarassing I root for the same team as they do.
BB wanted Brady gone.

Its sad that some so called "Pats fans" dont understand that. For beginners, BB told Kraft that Bradys skill were declining. Kraft himself admitted that conversation took place and that is exactly what BB led him to believe. Kraft of course admitted that after Brady won his 7th so he would not have egg on his face. Secondly, BB refused to spend on or draft WRs. Brady took less money for himself, but BB refused to devote very much cap for WRs. So, Brady said Im outa here and BB got what he wanted - his team totally free of Brady and TB12.
so
Shortly after this, Kraft began to publicly criticize BB's drafts. Some of BBs draft clout was taken away. When BB wanted Corky Jones gone for bellyaching about his woes outside of the NE organization. Kraft told BB no. Which led to BB pulling a George Constanza trying to get fired so Kraft would owe him all his money.

Again, no matter how many times Macdonald confirms it wasn’t Brady there will members here that will say Macdonald is lying.

This is actually significant

That's because "believe all coaches" is a philosophy even more idiotic than "believe all women".

Macdonald specifically said the person helped with prepping for the event itself, not scheme, so no it does not have to be someone with intel on the Patriots schemes. That is something people just imagined in their heads despite Macdonald expressly stating otherwise.

The quote you're responding to was from Mike Florio, not moi. But it might help if you could provide the statement from Macdonald that you are citing as conflicting accounts or interpretations abound.

Among them: Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald stated that an unnamed source with a "conflict of interest" gave him vital information to help prepare for their Super Bowl matchup. He cryptically hinted that this person provided specific "tells" and insights into the opposing team's tendencies, but he declined to reveal the advisor's identity.

And: Mike Macdonald did not explain the specific nature of the help, meaning he never stated whether it was strategic, tactical, or strictly football-related. During his appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, Macdonald only dropped a vague, cryptic teaser.

And, FWIW, Scott Zolak said on 98.5 today he has no doubt Brady is the unnamed "conflict of interest" source who helped Seattle.

everyone bashing Tom here imploded
same posters no shame
No shame?

Why the **** should someone feel shame for expressing an opinion on a player?

Yay great tom won a lot of football here. He's the greatest player in the league history. . Does that mean we are beholden to feel eternally grateful to him for forcing his way out of New England?.

**** that.

Posters are in denial that BB was planning moving on from him for a long time. The Pats tendered Cassel in 2008, but then realized there was no flipping way they could keep 2 QB's with their salaries. Cassel signed his tender forcing the Pats hand.

The drought was going on 10 years and Brady was 36 years old in 2013. BB wrongly thought that Tom was declining which was why he blew a 2nd round pick on a QB in 2014. The awful contract they gave Amendola in 2013 prevented them from signing Emmanuel Sanders that off-season. Steve Smith probably had early signs of CTE and signed with Baltimore before even visiting NE. The team had to settle with LaFell. He was a decent player, but they dropped the ball not signing Sanders.

BB was ready to move on again from Brady in 2017 trying to extend Jimmy G to significant amount of money which Jimmy correctly rejected. Tom found out and had a private meeting with Kraft who then ordered BB to ship Jimmy G out. Bob told Brady and Jimmy G that it would be decided by doing a walk off in which Brady won.

Tom and Gronk seriously considered retirement after the Malcolm Butler Super Bowl blunder. Tom got the wife involved and initially told Kraft he wanted out. He consulted with Jerod Mayo who told Brady to "walk it back".

By 2019, it was by far BB's worst off-season since 2013. Bob admitted that BB told him not to extend Brady past one year and Tom had enough. He forced Kraft to remove their ability to tag him or else he was going to sit out the season. Brady was 100% out the door after the team freaked out and released Brown.

We talk about BB's draft blunders, but his mismanagement of the salary cap has flown under the radar for years.

There was never any reason why Tom ended his career elsewhere.
