I'm not sure he means "literally"....

"literally undressed"?

Re: Schelerth:"Welker was literally undressed on every play by the ravens D"

It was very frustrating to see Welker get attacked just seconds after Moss was interfered with (end of the 1st half).

I just could not believe that we had to deal with this crap again.

the fact that the Ravens even whined about a penalty call THAT WAS OBVIOUS drives me nuts.

The funniest part is, now all the moron fans of other teams and casual fans think that the pats got lucky and help from the refs b/c these cry babies said so.

I'm slowly starting to hate the nfl

Who's Schelerth? Let's try to look like intelligent fans here people.

It should be noted that Welker is a fericious blocker downfield for his size. I saw him pass off some shoves that took those Ravens by surprise. One time, I even saw a safety take insult from the shove of a corner and pushed Welker back after the play.

Welker is the quinessential Patriot.

Re: Schelerth:"Welker was literally undressed on every play by the ravens D"

That's all well and good but why couldn't he say this on Mike and Mike this morning. All he did was bash the Pats while they said that despite the "lousy" calls a "conspiracy" was unrealistic.

I agree with you about spelling, etc., but Schlereth isn't too bright himself. Good help is hard to find even for ESPN (especially for ESPN?).

Literally undressed on every play? No wonder my wife had a keen interest in last night's game (and I need better glasses apparently, although some things are better left unseen).

Regards,
Chris

Good to see a team was finally smart enough to beat decent cover guys on Welker. It's obvious Welker can beat slow linebackers and terrible nickle guys. this is what happens when you put a good DB on him.

Do you mean, "this is what happens when the other team holds him on every play"?

A Dolphins fan's definition of a great cover guy is apparently a guy who illegally holds on every play. :bricks:

Re: Schelerth:"Welker was literally undressed on every play by the ravens D"

The 13 flags weren't enough? They called the holds on the last drive and you guys got your win.

Maybe not. If a team committs 45 blatant penalties in a game and gets whistled for 13 of them is that enough? is that a well-called game? If a team is holding and PI-ing all game long but the refs don't call any of it until the fourth does that mean they favored the team holding or the team being held?

The numbers are totally irrelevant, watch the game, you'll see numerous penalties that should have been called but weren't. Bottom line.

Re: Schelerth:"Welker was literally undressed on every play by the ravens D"

It's sad that a clinically insane depressed welker sick Doofin fan has to come in here and critique us on our flaws on offense.
Outside of Ronnie Brown you have zero offense.
your team is 0 and 12 ours is 12 and 0.
I'd be more worried about good old cameron busting that win a game cherry.
How 0 and 16 will look this year.
Rebuild you say?
I'm sure all the available free agents our itching to sign for a team that is winless talentless and in a horrible tailspin.
Untill your clueless owner sells the team to someone who is at least capable of having a rational thought and a front office that makes Bobby Grier look like well Pioli.
You guys have way more concerns than if we can be beat or not.

Re: Schelerth:"Welker was literally undressed on every play by the ravens D"

They played him smart and they played him phyiscal. It's a complete mystery to me why teams haven't been doing this to the Pats all year long. They don't have tight ends that want to block and if you take away 2 receivers you can keep the Pats pretty well in check. Assign your best cover guy to Welker, assign your most physical player to Moss and overload a pass rush on the weak side and you can hold the Pats under 28.

The thing is, there is only 1 team on the Pats remaining schedule with the personel to do so. Philly with Shepard, Dawkins and a good mix of weak side and delayed blitzes got to Brady while Baltimore has Rolle and McAllister as very good cover guys while Ed Reed is in the backfield laying the wood.

Pittsburgh must have Polumalu and Santonio Holmes back to have a prayer. Hopefully Parker can do his best Willis McGahee impression because #23 was awesome last night. James Harrison, Clark Haggans and James Farrior should be able to creat a decent pass rush with Ike Taylor and Troy Polumalu handling Moss and Welker.

Dante Stallworth and Jabar Gaffney better be ready to step up because their going to have to down the stretch.

But the Ravens *didn't* assign their best cover guy to Welker. Or even their second best. They had their LBs rough him up on the line (fine) and then hold onto him if he was going to break away.

That is all well and good, but don't complain when you are rightfully called for a penalty.

the dolphins are pathetic losers... and they all wish that they could play for the dynasty

He just doesn't know the difference between literally and figuratively.

Definition of literally includes:

(intensifier before a figurative expression) without exaggeration; "our eyes were literally pinned to TV during the Gulf War"
