Schefter Rumor: QB Josh Rosen “could be” traded?

He seemed pretty challenged last year.
No kidding. Let's stop short in saying being an NFL QB is not challenging to Rosen.

In AZ he didnt have the passion, brains, surrounding talent or coaching he needed to be successful. Could be all 4. If he comes here we'll find out real quick

The comments were made AFTER the draft. So no, your point is negated.

Maybe you should think this one through a little bit longer.

yup

He has the talent and the smarts. Belichick and Josh have the offense, and system, to challenge and develop him.

The coaches (not us) would likely see soon whether Rosen is a bust, an OK backup, a starter who is good enough to be traded, or a QB for he patriots.

IMHO, this set of possibilities is worth our #32 and $2M a year of cap room.

I think he's worth a 2nd rounder. Not sure if it makes sense to pull the trigger this year as opposed to next year.

If we’re truly interested in dealing a 2 I would say this is the year to do it. Multiple 2s and a boatload of picks

He definitely didn’t have the surrounding talent. He definitely didn’t have the coaching. I definitely think he’s got passion. The only one I don’t know about is the brains. Hard to tell in that situation he was put in. I’m just hoping he didn’t lose an edge mentally from being unfairly thrown to the dogs

Your point was that execs were dogging him pre draft to make him fall. Was it not? Ridiculous but logical. The statements were made after the draft so that makes little sense. As in none. Or were they sowing negativity immediately after the draft so they could acquire him in a trade cheap?

Many of the statements and anecdotes come from ucla teammates and coaches. Are they in on the conspiracy too? Can you think at all?

This kid is way overhyped. Showed nothing to suggest he can succeed.

The poster who tried to compare him to Steve Young. No way. Steve was 1 out of 1000 other players with poor rookie stats who panned out. Happened to latch onto a hall of fame offensive coach in Walsh and watch a hall of famer for years in Montana. Also had the best receiver of all time Jerry Rice.

It's a total waste to burn anything better than a 7th rounder on this guy. Not opposed to getting him for nothing but don't waste draft picks for this BUST.

.

I'll trust the Patriots evaluators we aren't going to have a shot at a blue Chip QB prospect for a while unless we get lucky.

Must be dead when ****ing Josh Rosen generates a 16 page thread...he is awful

Showed NOTHING ? Glad you’re not the Pat’s GM, because you’re clueless.

We've burned more than a few 2nd round picks - what's one more?

Nothing terrible (TD/INT ratio isn't great) about Steve Young's rookie stats:
Passing: 560-316-4102, 16 TD, 22 INT; Rushing: 135-883, 9 TD; Two-point conversions: 3

Those are Steve young’s rookie stats in a minor league.
His nfl rookie stats were 72/138 52.2 3 Td 8 int 40 rushes 233 yards

Rosen doesn't have the pure handsomeness you need to succeed as an NE QB. That's why Belichick was an idiot to trade the Italian Stallion.
